even though we stayed up with a couple of games to go it has been an embarrassing season with the results like 9-1 spurs, two 5-0 utd, 4-0 against pompey then 8-0 today.
9 May 2010 at 9:10 pm #32511On the other hand we have beaten Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.
Theres always 2 sides. Take the good with the bad.
9 May 2010 at 9:11 pm #32514Bang on James!!
From Matlock to ManU

To be honest, those wins don’t come close to wiping away the dissapointment of the losses.
The Arsenal win was fantastic, but that was because of it’s importance in the relegation fight, the fact it was Arsenal just added icing on the cake.
It’s time for some home truths, quit making excuses for players who are not Premiership standard, and get rid of those trouble makers in the squad.
9 May 2010 at 9:17 pm #32520Just check what league we are in next season sunshine. Bobby set out with the aim of keeping us in the top flight this season and has delivered.
Start this childish “dummy spitting” milarky next season if we don’t push on.

The wins wipe away the disappointments for me. If you lose you lose, regardless of who it is to. But to come back with style like we did against aresnal, to beat chelsea and liverpool aswell. In the same season.. Is amazing and that is why we support the club.
We don’t support the club to ridicule them JUST when they lose. Give them credit for what they HAVE achieved and dont just moan about our shortcomings.9 May 2010 at 9:24 pm #32529i can take defeat the manner it occurs i cannot

its just the way we collapse what gets me, not just today, and to be honest i dont think we will miss sharner, nzogbia nor rodney if they go, because we need to had a backbone to this team, starting with a goalkeeper because apart from kirkland we have no body, i still dont think martinez is up to the job, but the season is over, so it is up to him to sort wigan ath out for next season, but he has to look for better quality than his old mates at swansea.9 May 2010 at 9:35 pm #32540On the other hand we have beaten Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea.

We haven’t just lost, we’ve been humiliated time and again, any bunch of cloggers can beat a top team on their day.For what it’s worth I believe we deserved those wins, which makes the humiliating defeats and pathetic performances harder to take.
Quite clearly we have a number of players who are choosing when, and when not, to play, that to me is far worse than having a team who are simply not good enough.
9 May 2010 at 10:18 pm #32567I actually think folk are overlooking the real issue which seems to happen for all hyped up games with such a climax. The referee’s seem to want the need for their moment and the occasion clearly gets to them. We are living in days where red cards are so paramount with rulebook quotes that decent common sense doesn’t get a chance in the game anymore. They got a penalty, a scoring chance repeated regardless of Caldwell’s sending off. He should have kept the lad on.
I watched the first half and was too disgruntled with football, not the match, with the obvious twist and turns of a huge game with high stakes. I turned it off. The premier league can continue to rant how great they are for a little longer.
On the other hand my prediction that Caldwell would have a moment came quite true! Before the sending off Wigan were doing just fine.
9 May 2010 at 10:24 pm #32570we’ve stayed in the premier legaue again lets just enjoy the good times and forget the bad! :)
