Just quick tot up by weighing the coins shows that everyone who walked today, selling raffle tickets and sticking buckets in peoples faces and donations from everyone on the walk you have collected about £900

Thanks for everyone who helped, and special thanks to JRFatfan his missus & mate who made sure feeding 300+ at the stopover ran like clockwork.
………however, without your vision, determination, organisation and damned hard work the event would not even have taken place and there would be no money.

Normally I go on the train from Preston to the Horwich Stadium; but today I went especially in the car so that I could park at St Josephs and support Emma’s appeal. Thank’s for a good day Emma; I’m sure that all the Latics fans are praying for you to be better as soon as possible.

Thanks for the kind comments but as yesterday showed, both the walk and game, nothing can be achieved without a massive team effort and I am so proud we got it in both areas.
When I first saw the £900 comment I thought well that’s a pretty poor effort until I realised that was just what had been collected en route by the walkers themselves. Der!
What a brilliant effort by all of you, well done. Hope that doesn’t sound too patronising, it wasn’t meant to.
And who’d ‘ave thowt – LMB and JR now best buddies?! :) I’m almost hoping we get scutched by Villa so that normal service can be resumed ;)

we are not best buddies griff, we are something more than that, we are ALL a family, we may fall out now and again like all families do, but when the chips are down and we need to fight for something we are little wigan against the world.!
As you mentioned the collection yesterday I will just update you.
After doing a proper count this morning the final amount collected on the walk yesterday was £907.18 – there is no truth in the rumour that the 18 pence came from worbo.
Well done everyone.
I dont want to make any predictions but talking with barry(worbo) and people telling us how much they have got in sponsorship we could be looking in the region of 10 THOUSAND POUNDS
If its half as much as that we have something to be proud of.

I don’t think much has changed with respect to our difference of opinions on Bobby, but that was put aside for this special occasion.
We did resume our “discussions” on the way to the Reebok as LMB kindly dropped me and my mate off at the ground, once we had restored the legion to its nice clean state again.From Matlock to ManU
