        No.

He’s a very very good number 2, but they don’t always make good managers.

Chris Hutchings, Steve McClaren, Pat Rice, Ray Wilkins…….

didn’t black fail at motherwell and coventry before coming bruce’s no. 2,he also gave up the chance to say at birmingham as manager after bruce left to come to us, doesnt strike me as someone you even has confidence in his own ability.

No he was sacked steve, the coventry fans never really took to him because he stepped into the shoes of coventry hero gary mccalister who resigned to care for his dying wife.
If you remember our mutual friend yosser hughes, well his best mate malc brown(he lived in bedworth as well) is a coventry season ticket holder and he used to ask me what i thought of black when he was with us, he was only assistant so i couldn’t really give an opinion one way or another, but he didn’t rate him at all.

not exactly pulling up trees at Sunderland.

John i think that job is complete now – looks like a few on the other side of the road and the river but the ones closest to the ground look like they have all been “pulled up”.

PS are there are any decent pegs you can see.

Ian is a Leicester fan, great bloke virtually lived in his garage with all his fishing gear we would all be next door gettin blotto and Ian would be sorting out his tackle till all hours :P

malcy(his coventry fan mate)ripped him to shreds so much when we were in ireland a couple of years ago when leicester got relegated , he never came out with us all week, he stopped in sulking, he locked us out of the house one night and went to bed, malcy rung me and told me he didnt speak to him once on the trip home (8 hours inc the drive and ferry)

Tell you what LMB when we had the BBQ out he often handed us some bonny salmon over the fence. Probably the only fella who could talk about fishing more than Mr Arkwright ;)
