Latest team news from Deepdale.
7 October 2018 at 3:50 am #172262Gibson is better than Evans. Windass has been playing well.
7 October 2018 at 3:57 am #172263Nob End 4 Latics 0
Fuck me they really worked today.
Gibson was gash on Tuesday and Windyarse no better.
Both play today and what a result.
Both bench men at best.7 October 2018 at 4:11 am #172267Your right. The other 9 players were world class and let down by these clowns.
Get macca on.
7 October 2018 at 3:06 pm #172293Reece James had a good game!
Some decent touches, strong dribbling runs, dangerous crosses and unlucky not to score.
Apart from that the scoreline sums it up.7 October 2018 at 3:48 pm #172295Don’t know if we’ve exhausted all our loan slots but boy do we need cover on the left as Robinson for all his potential needs a rest. As for James….absolute quality and has been so far this season. Agree on Windass but wasted out wide,so what so you expect.
7 October 2018 at 5:16 pm #172298Robinson was exposed loads of times vs swansea, & luckilly for us, they didnt take their chances. I agree with giving him a rest & play byrne.
7 October 2018 at 7:07 pm #172300Byrne’s best position is at right back where our best player at moment is so little alternative Seems like Robinsons been told play in his own half as he rarely goes any further.

8 October 2018 at 3:12 pm #172317In the cold light of day our squad doesn’t look that strong really and with hindsight we are doing well to be currently 12th. Roll on January?

8 October 2018 at 4:58 pm #172319Is the problem Garner. Now I’m not calling the lad a bad player but the signing itself. To me he is our version of Alexis Sanchez. We didn’t need another signing in the position and its because of that we are a bit unbalanced. Cookie needs to keep the lads happy but is it having a bad effect on the team and causing some players to play out of their preferred position to accommodate them. I had a bad feeling about the Nob End game but its gone now. Cookie will sort it if it means taking a little time. COYL
8 October 2018 at 5:12 pm #172321Hopefully this poor form is just a blip as at beginning of the season we looked like scoring in every game.
No leader in defence & it shows when under pressure.
Playing expansive football is good on the eye but maybe Cookie needs to have a rethink away from home. Try and shore defence & midfield up to try & build a bit of confidence back up.
Don’t forget, our budget is tiny compared to most in this league. Hence why we have Garner.
8 October 2018 at 8:01 pm #172322May simply be the best team we’ve played all season and taking out Powell was a planned strategy.
Remember they just missed out on the play offs last season.
To beat them irrespective of their lowly position we needed to push them back and push their defence that had been wobbly up to now.
Without players good enough on the day(which has been showing for weeks)and out of position we were unable to do that.
Swapping to three at the back and changing shape after Powells injury just played into Preston’s hands. We may have stood a chance without bringing Burn on and simply brought on Macca to attack from the right and move Windass to Powell’s position.
Whatever a crazy day and let’s hope we have learned from it.8 October 2018 at 8:41 pm #172323I agree…….going Sheffield so hope he does learn…..hope they ram some Sheffield steel rods up their spines…..hope ref never gets us again…Hope we get a left back on loan …..lot of hopes then !

Next game isn’t going to be easy, West brom score for fun.. -
