Said we looked to be a good side yesterday; worthy of our win. Gobsmacked !
Didn’t go yesterday, cos I object to paying 32 quid to sit in that shit tip of an away end !

The prices in the ground where shit as well. £3.50 for a bottle of Carlesberg or Cider and £2.50 for a pie that was almost inedible.

I didn’t go to the game myself and didn’t watch it on taliban Tv or whatever it is. Is there any chance you can let us know how we played because i can’t take Merson seriously, he was saying that Burnley were the better teem all the way through then when asked at the end by Stelling he said we were worthy winners and so on.

Also didn’t go but wish I had now.

Does anybody know the extent of the injured…Fig & Thomas ?

It was in my opinion a very strong and controlled display in all departments and the last ten minutes we completely took the p1ss with the obligotory “ole’s” which was quality. When they scored the reaction was instant and on two occasions before the equaliser we could have scored. When Figgy had to leave the field and Charlie went left back I thought our attacking options would be limited but then a chap behind reminded me that he played left back for the bar codes and in my opinion he just shaded man of the match although to be honest anyone apart from Titus and Boycey (they really had very little to do but did their job) could have the accolade. I have been known to slate Mario on this board and admit he is not one of my favourites but yesterday for me was probably his best all round display and his passion at the end of the game should be commended. Even Gomez looked livelier than normal and was at the centre of the p1ss take at he end. Scharner received a nasty cut to the RH side of his head in the build up to the third and was subbed so no doubt a few stitches there. All in all A thoroghly entertaining day and hats of to the lads on my coach journey with their constant singing, well done. I do beleive also that If we can keep hold of Hendry Thomas and D’iame these two could be legends in there own right, they really are beginning to make the midfield impasssible. As for the injuries recived yesterday I believe they are nothing more than bad knocks and are nothing too serious. This is of course just an opinion. KTF

Just seen the news in Figueroa, how wrong can you be. But he did play on for 10 -15 mins after the injury and actualy walked off the field and down the tunnel unaided.

Ive got to dissagree with merson about their goalies injury,
IMO he came out to get the ball but realised he wouldn’t get to it and changed his mind then went over on his ankle mhen he tried to backtrack.
and roddy would still have scored without the injury. it was down solely to jensens bad decision making.

Agreed – I think we will find that his “injury” is more embarrassment than twisted ankle. Really dodgy keeper in my opinion.

Think we deserved the win BUT Jensen would have got to that without getting injured IMHO

I disagree. He realised he wasn ‘t going to make it and twisted trying to alter his position. Very poor keeper, he was undecisive at Blackburn as well.

Couldn’t agree more with that assessment. I haven’t seen us dominate a game like that for yonks. The only one you didn’t single out was Scotland, who I thought was excellent throughout.
