29 August 2013 at 1:44 am #120039Extra time now and more importantly at Forest too, leaden their legs a bit for Saturday
29 August 2013 at 1:47 am #120041Bin watching the game and the boos rang out again at the 90 min whistle.
Kone is looking like a little lost sheep but Roubles having done nowt all neet just pulled off a super save in injury time.
If they go out tonight and dip out the FA cup when that starts, Bobby will be a sitting duck. Mind you he promised BK champions league football at his first press conference, so everything will be OK. :lol:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!29 August 2013 at 1:55 am #120042Kone is endearing himself to the locals it seems.
29 August 2013 at 1:59 am #120044we would have them all back like a shot though wouldn’t we?
29 August 2013 at 2:03 am #120045we would have them all back like a shot though wouldn’t we?Out of all the depatures I would only have Alcaraz back but I don’t think he would cope with a 25 game season never mind a 55+ game season.
29 August 2013 at 2:45 am #120048Martinez used the match as an opportunity to try out three at the back, playing Heitinger, Jagielka and Stones.
Jagielka, Barkley and Osman were the only regular first eleven players who started.
29 August 2013 at 4:37 am #120054Should Martinez steer Everton to a League Cup final and possibly win it this game will be long forgotten, in much the same way our performances against Bournemouth and Macclesfield were forgotten when we got to Wembley.
29 August 2013 at 12:13 pm #120058Some people talk more about Martinez now, and watch him, hoping for him to fail, than when he was here. Quite pathetic, really.
29 August 2013 at 12:28 pm #120059I personally don’t give a flyer about Martinez and Everton, I can only thank him for the FA Cup but I can see why some folk do resent him.
At least Jewell made a promise to stay if we went down and try to get us straight back up, hence the reason why some feel Martinez jumped ship. I certainly don’t miss the Manuel type waffling post match interviews that made about as much sense as Cantonese writing.
29 August 2013 at 2:23 pm #120067Most managers talk nonsense after the game – especially if it is one they have lost. I don’t think Martinez was an exception.
They have to defend their selection and their players. Perhaps it’s unreasonable to expect them to give a calm account just after the game has finished.
The usual scapegoat is the referee. Coyle has already wrongly criticised the referee who dismissed McManaman, promising to appeal against the decision. Fortunately, wiser counsel prevailed.
Coyle sayings;
There’s no doubt we could and should have won the game.
In your golf bag, you have a set of irons and you need to know how to use them all.
