“If you have a junior season ticket you can apply today to receive a junior ticket for your friend completely FREE of charge, plus up to 2 additional adults at £28 each.”
£28 isn’t a discount, should it be £20? Can understand the kids free but seems strange to advertise an offer alongside the obvious that an adult can get in for £28?
Anyway anything that attracts fans is good i suppose. South stand will be busy next week.

There’ll be enough Wigan-dwelling Scousers in the ground as it is without letting them get in on a cheap ticket.
Great deal for the kids, though. Let’s create some noise and kick-on hopefully
28 January 2012 at 8:23 pm #79617Can’t make this game, will be in Cheshire, and no amount of pleading/bargaining with our Maude will work.
Poor, poor planning on my part. However, when I’ve missed games in the past the team normally pulls off an exceptional performance – just to p1ss me off I suppose.

Hope so Micky, and if they do your going to have to organise more trips out with your Maude on match days ;)
28 January 2012 at 8:47 pm #79620A question or two..How many junior season ticket holders are there ? and what is this ” Can apply ” lark ? Why not turn up with your ticket and your mate in tow and simply go through the turn style plus one !! The adult price isnt gonna have many falling over themselves to get in !!

If they have to apply, we have a chance to get their details and can then target them later.
If they just rock up at the turnstile, we have no idea who they are, have we?
Still, it’s easier to just slag off the club rather than think there might actually be a bit of method behind its apparent madness, is it not?

Having had 3 teenage kids back in the day, I just cant see many being arsed with the application ! Not slagging off the club at all ! ” Have you applied for that free ticket for your mate yet ? ” ” Oh for fuck sake Mum, I was just about to complete level 12 then ! Now get out of my bedroom ” !! I am just being realistic as I was when I posted about the club simply not being big enough. Here’s an idea….Lets all make some noise instead of the usual silence !! ;)

Yeah, you’re right. The club should just sack it and not bother.
And I think you’re thinking too deeply about the application. I think it simply means you have to ring up and ask for one, it’s not a 40-page tri-part application form.

Well we will see ! I think it would be easier to just turn up with your mate and queue ( Wont take long ! ) at the ticket booth and hey presto ! In the unlikely event of the South Stand selling out an upgrade can be offered to the East Stand for all concerned ! That alone could even tempt fans to buy tickets for the East Stand next season or even this season !

Yep, that’s it. Just ignore all the other posts explaining why that’s not the best way off attracting new, young supporters to more than just the next game.

Wild horses Mr Blue………………….wild horses.
However, the future was the last thing on my mind at my daughters conception.
Oh!…..your innuendo was not lost on me.
