It would appear that it’s not just a few folk on here who know a bad manager when we see one! Some of the more positive types said that we wanted him to fail but the truth is we KNEW he would fail! The same applies to the joker in charge now even though some of the more positive types seem to think it’s all to do with austerity and having a club!
Anyhow back to Lord Bobbington and his ‘Blue Brethren’. Bet the vast majority of latics fans, except perhaps the 1 posting here, would have Bobby back in an instant. The stream of jokers we have had since are no where near his ability.
Ok so he had his faults, substitutions and that standard interview technique was particularly galling, but those were slight blemishes against the huge flaws in the others which have helped to ruin our club.
Can we not stop going on about Bobby now, WTF does it matter to us, we have other things to think about!.

dummy spat again so far you have posted three posts on the other thread and started a new one about the same manager I know obsessive paranoia is caused through smoking to many biftas but your going over the top with your inane ramblings
We won the cup despite of Bob.
Remember being so close to going out in the third round because of his tactics and team selection.
The most boreing four years of football I can ever remember watching Latics.
Oh and I remember the man took us down then walked.

He played an under-strength team against lower league opposition and got away with it. Many Premier League managers haven’t.
Subjective opinion but it kept us in the PL when Whelan decided he could no longer finance the debt he was racking up trying to compete with mid-table clubs and the reason why the previous manager decided to leave.
We got relegated because he decided to make the FA Cup a priority. He would have walked had we stayed up.

I don’t even smoke dope so I don’t know where you get that from? I might have jokingly said I was stoned once or something but I wouldn’t believe everything you read, especially on here dick head! As for RM, he was bigged up by his chairman when most folk knew he wasn’t the real deal and Everton got done! This message board is for opining and anything within reason can be discussed so just but out troll if you have nothing to say on the matter!

Firstly the anti-Bob brigade will state like yourself “he took us down” yes he did but what about the fact he kept us up for 3 seasons?. Don’t get me wrong I, like many think he had huge flaws and if I’m honest I didn’t like his stubborn streak but to castigate him on here still is ridiculous to say the least. “The most boring four years of football” again your comment well if you thought we bored our way in the cup final then I despair. Against Everton and especially against City the team were magnificent and the football played was amongst the best I have seen in over 40 yrs of being a fan. The win in the final was no giant killing or smash and grab coz we were easily the better side throughout the game and utterly deserved to win it. Bobbys problem was in the league we were always trying to maintain our Premier league status and the pressure on him was so immense he was unable to let the boys express themselves. It’s time to let it go and worry about Wigan Athletic not our former manager and his new club.

Played ace football in the cup. Duplicated in the league and we would have stayed up but on no stubborn Bob just played the same old yawn inducing drivel in the league.
