Villa remain six points ahead and still within reach. Newcastle and Norwich are three points ahead, and Wigan have a game in hand.
Sunderland (37 points) play Stoke (40 points) on Monday.
Swansea have now gone seven games without a win. And Wigan will look a lot better if they have a centre-half fit to play.

Yep, our result makes the likes of Sunderland, Newcastle and Norwich very worried. The ones on 40 aren’t safe yet, whatever they might think.

I think Golobart will get a start over Caldwell when fit.
I dont think Martinez is one to put a player at risk by playing him through an injury on pain injections.
Obviously our defence situation is almost at breaking point which is why he can have his pain injection and sit on the bench in case we really are desperate.
Golobart did well today, I dont think he is up to scratch in terms of the way Martinez expects his CB’s to play but his no nonsense attitude today was perfect for the situation.
