I have been following this topic on sky news,
I think it is terrible these poor families many with young children are being deported in this way.

I also believe as part of the EU we should be chipping in to help accommodate them in some way.

I mean we have a number of travelers sites in our town such as the one in Goose Green and the Bickershaw site near Platt Bridge. I believe if we could take some of them in we would be viewed as a caring sharing Country and as they say all good deeds get rewarded.

I know that there is a drop in local School populations so the children of the Roma people would be welcome. And the men and women could be put to work as i know some of the current occupants of these sites do now. I see the convoy of White works vans leaving the Goose Green site early every morning with the people going to work fixing peoples roofs and driveways etc.

So come on Wigan lets set the standard and welcome them here hey.

Very noble of you to worry about EU wide problems, rather than the local issue.

I suspect it would be seen as the not in my back yard scenario. People want to help, but no one would want them next door to them.
