They seem to be touting themselves around every football ground in the country as a solution having failed in yet another area which plays the more popular code which RL fans so detest. I have no idea why these parasites can’t get their own stadia ( with the exception of those two proper RL towns Saints & Warrington of course ) and stop bothering other more successful sports. Sports that they continually slag off as being inferior, oh and by the way chaps, any chance we can borrow youre ground as we’ve none of our own around here
Can you imagine Arsene Wenger’s reaction to the proposal that a seven match Rugby League tournament be played on the Emirates pitch? :D
The most important thing is we won 28-10 thanks and are still top of the pile!
As far as the concept goes, its complete & utter crap! Its the poor equivalent of the Premier League’s 39th game, and should be chinned off at the earliest opportunity.
I didnt go to Edinburgh, never went to Cardiff, and wouldnt even go if it were played at Old Trafford, City of Manchester, Elland Rd etc etc. I wouldnt even go if all 7 games were played in my back garden!!! Its a crap concept, drummed up by Sky, and makes the whole structure unfair, as some clubs get an easy extra game.
Does that clarify my position?
Now, on the subject of half-full grounds, how are the tickets selling for the big game this afternoon? Am I going to see a full south-stand again, or did folk only get their £4 tickets to see Mr Wenger’s XI? Will that win against Arsenal encourage more Wiganers to turn up? Will the lure of sitting in a traffic jam on a motorway, or cutting the grass prove more appealing to families than a football match in Wigan?
A national survey has just revealed that there are more gay RL fans than there are gay football fans ! The same survey also looked into obesity amongst both sets of fans and found that 78% of RL fans were deemed to be obese whilst only 15% of football fans had rather high BMI’s ! When each set of fans was asked where and how they prefer to relax of an evening, 72% of RL fans preferred the comfort of their bedroom where their computer was rigged up while a massive 98.9% of football fans preferred to be out and about living life to the full !
Two seperate threads dedicated to muttywhitedog
How did the sooper dooper weekend in Edinburgh go?
I believe not many turned up!
Depends if you class over 50,000 as ‘not many’. You seem to spend a worrying amount of time on that rugby board
Hmmm, 50,000 divided by 14 teams = 3,571ish fans per club, your right that is bloody superb support for such a tremendous sport. Football should just pack in now.

Comparing rugby league to football
There is no comparision, that was the point.
