For those who said they aren’t members of the supporters club, so aren’t privy to the huge opportunities that we have had, or have not been anywhere near anywhere that has had the Cup visit, and have done nothing themselves to get to see the Cup in person at any time since May, then:
20 February 2014 at 1:21 am #127586Flippin Eck GL, was hoping nobody would know about this so could take the kids tomorrow and be first in the queue :) cats out the bag now :)
20 February 2014 at 1:58 am #127593Took my boys down to the ground yesterday and couldnt believe what the club did for them. Within two minutes of arriving the cup was out the cabinet and my 6 and 7 year old were out on the pitch dancing around with the cup Thanks to the club officials. The club gets bad press by many on here but i cant think of another club who would have been so kind with the kids. On the way back through they let us into the changing rooms and gave the lads an experience they will never forget. Thanks go to everyone at the club for making three lads dreams a reality.

20 February 2014 at 2:17 am #127595No. Just dropped in at 5 o clock on off chance. BBC were filming so think we just fell lucky. Unfortunately kids dont appreciate how lucky they are as they think we go to Wembley every year but am sure in time it will dawn on them how lucky they have been over the last 12 months (as im sure most of us already know).
20 February 2014 at 2:33 am #127596That’s great Roy.
The club always say they want to encourage the kids etc but that’s the proof in the pudding as they say.
Wembley started to feel like a second home after 3 (or was it 4 ;) ) visits in 4 months.

20 February 2014 at 11:08 pm #127617Took the afternoon off work to go along with my Mrs and youngest daughter to finally get our pics taken with the Cup.
More memories to treasure !! :)
21 February 2014 at 2:31 am #127622I drove down to wigan this afternoon with my son & his mate. Arrived at the DW for 3.15 thinking there would be a huge queue. We went into the reception & saw the cup being taken into the players lounge. We waited in reception as it was cold & no one was waiting outside. We bumped into al habsi, then some kid came into the reception with his parents. The officials brought the cup back into reception to allow this kid to have his photo with the cup. As we were there i asked if we could have our photo taken with it so we could shoot off back home & this is why we came early. They agreed to it. Not only did they let me, my son & his mate have our photo with the cup, they allowed me to hold the bloody thing. I almost died/cried with excitement & disbelief. Many thanks to the club & massive thanks to jay t for the info.
