Until Gomez roles his sleaves up and puts in a shift which is never he would never play for me. He does keep posession but does feck all with it square or backwards passing is not what we need, IMO we looked far better when he went off.

Listen, I know Jordi Gomez is not good enough for a decent Premier League team but as Martinez wants someome to specifcially play that role, he is as good as, if not better than, anyone else in the squad at doing it.

Opinion….Jones would be ok in that role and is worth a punt ! He was played completely out of position when asked to be a wing back ! It is things like that that frustrate me about RM. It seems to leave players bereft of confidence when they get played out of position and cant cope !

Griff I’m sorry but with the quality of team we have we cannot carry anyone and when we don’t have the ball Gomez contributes feck all.

Thought we had a team capable of staying up in your opinion? Surely a team capable of competing in the best league in the world doesn’t need its forwards defending ???

We have if every player gives 100% all 11 not just 10 which is what happens everytime Gomez plays.
