the missus has got this bee in her bonnett about doing her family tree, are there any good sites to use?
Is ancestry.com a good place to start and if not where is.
Also is there any decent sofrtware to create the tree that anybody can recommend. I have seen friend united one and it seems simple enough… any advice?
Ancestry’s really good. Costs me about 13 quid per month but you get access to allsorts. Plus you can contact other people worldwide who may have already done your (or part of) tree.
You don’t need to bother with any other software as Ancestry lets you create your own. It’s great!! I’ve got back to 1300s on my mum’s side. Struggling with my dad’s side though – bloody catholics;)
