Fan-flamin-tastic!!!!2 April 2016 at 9:16 pm #147830If we can beat Cov next game with Walsall at Owdum, we could have one foot in the Championship this time next week. Well done Gary and the boys Fan-flaming-tastic.

2 April 2016 at 11:12 pm #147832Isn’t it ace when a plan works out ??? Fantastic consistency and superb run of results.Well done Gary, players and chairman. To be honest could not see us overturning Burton but keep scoring like this and we could be up sooner than expected.I also think we have a decent squad already to give it ago next season should we go up. Leicester to win Prem would be icing on the cake albeit bit of work for them to do yet.
2 April 2016 at 11:21 pm #147833Our goal difference could be worth a point too (if needed).
2 April 2016 at 11:42 pm #147834Great result, in the end.. first half we weren’t convincing, bit messy defensively and no real fluidity further up the field. McAleny’s first goal was another blinder!! Would love him to sign for us, great player.
Second half we were fantastic, Shrewsbury just couldn’t handle us .. Carry on playing this way and the league title is surely ours.
3 April 2016 at 12:06 am #147838Cracking win! But hey lads lets not count chickens until it’s written in stone, it makes me nervous. ;) :woohoo:
Up the tics!
Fuck the EFL
3 April 2016 at 12:14 am #147839Top of the league…..
When were we last top of any league? Off the top of my head after 3 games in the Prem season under Hutchings
3 April 2016 at 12:41 am #147840I think it was when we beat Sunderlamd, and were there for a week because of the way fixtures went.
Approx 2006?

It had better not be written in the ‘Ed-Stone’. That’ll be us doomed.
That goal of McAleny’s was amazing and certainly better than Vardy’s that everyone was raving about.
It’s going to be a difficult decision for player of the season and goal of the season …. Power’s at Swindon was good.
Please can they let Perkin’s score. he deserves a goal.
No other team in the division has moved as far as Wigan ….. scrambling up from bottom to top.
3 April 2016 at 1:29 am #147846Burton are at Scunny then home to Barnsley before they play us and neither of them will be easy for the Brewers. We have to keep winning for the next 2 games and if we can manage it we may just have a little cushion when we go to the Pirelli. Walsall are at Owdum then Gillingham then Bradford shortly after so that will also be difficult. Bradford are the danger team and could easily win all their remaining games and tho I’m sure they wont catch us they will have a real say in who does and doesn’t make the play offs. No games are easy as we have proved at times but if we can keep up the winning streak for a few more games hopefully we can get the job done early.
3 April 2016 at 2:01 am #147848It’s all up to us. The title or promotion can only be given away. Best players, best squad etc etc and if we continue to attack teams non of this league can live with us. This title could and should have been ours allready with the squad we have. Thank goodness for a turn round in results since the Peterborough and Colchester point chuckaways. Hope we can repeat the away form at home next week and rip Cov apart.Sure we will.
When was the last time we scored 5 in an away game?3 April 2016 at 2:12 am #147849Cracking win! But hey lads lets not count chickens until it’s written in stone, it makes me nervous. ;) :woohoo:

Great stat Leyland :)
Rich, was praying Perkins didn’t score today, he certainly looked like he was teeing one up when the game was done & dusted.
With the season he’s had, I hope he gets the winner in the game that wins us the league. If not that, then the goal that wins the game that sends us up. He deserves that accolade for his efforts this season, magnificent!3 April 2016 at 6:31 pm #147863Great result, in the end.. first half we weren’t convincing, bit messy defensively and no real fluidity further up the field. Why, did he score more than one? :P
