I’ve just noticed this posted on another forum (so kudos to them I suppose), so I thought it may be relevant to those reading this board:

“Do you want to have a BIG input into what happens at Wigan Athletic? If you do then being part of the Latics Fan Advisory Board will give you a voice directly into the football club.

The Latics FAB is a new initiative being set up to allow you the fans to put ideas, concerns and praise to the people that need to hear it.

It won’t all be one way though, there are plenty of ideas Wigan Athletic want to put by you and this is the perfect Forum for this to happen.

We are looking for around 10 fans with different connections to the club, all fans will be required to sign a binding non disclosure agreement.

By different connections to the club, we mean season ticket holders and non-season ticket holders, those who go to every game and those who pick and choose, young and old, male and female – basically a broad range of fans so we can get a very varied range of views.

The FAB intends to meet every month to six weeks, with the first meeting being on the evening of Wednesday the 26th November 2014.

Supporter Liaison Officers, Jason Taylor and Ian Wadsworth will be present at the meeting together with a representative from Wigan Athletic.

The final day for applications is Monday the 24th November at 5.00 p.m., we will choose and notify the 10 people by Monday night in readiness for the first meeting on Wednesday 26th November 2014 (time and location will be included).

If you would like to take part in the above please email ian@wiganathleticslo.co.uk or jason@wiganathleticslo.co.uk, within the email confirm the following:

    Name
    Age
If you are a season ticket holder (if so for how long)
    Number of children

    Read more: http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk”

Correct me if I’m wrong but wasn’t Jason Taylor something to do with this board once. Just asking as I would have thought he would have liked it publised here also.

(cue Grif with this board is populated by *numpties/morons/nonowts/wannabe managers/non human/illiterate members anyway and would add nothing to the FAB)

    *delete as appropriate

It’s good to see that the club are interested in – sensible – input from supporters.

Indeed. We can only hope that those numpties/morons/nonowts/wannabe managers/non human/illiterate members amongst our brethren leave it to those who can actually be trusted to sit the right way on the bog.

Bog, whats a bog? Toilet or water closet please.
I reckon Lostock Hall, Horc, Fillmoss and Leyland would be four good fans representatives.

I suspect they are looking for people with a more positive outlook than some of those listed. Anyway, Horc will be busy managing the team by then.

All joking apart, anyone who likes to have a moan about the club and what it does/doesn’t do to improve the fans’ experience hasn’t a leg to stand on if they don’t put themselves forward for this.

Really sorry guys, I’ve been promoting this in that many places I forgot about putting it on here……

Over 100 applicants so far. Myself and Ian will sit down on Monday to choose who will form the FAB.

I don’t remember seeing those names there.

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Agree the idea is brilliant and something long awaited.
          Well done everyone involved.
