Went home and away all through the divisions and first few season in the Premier League but very rarely go away now due to a number of reasons, the main one being we are absolute cack. But I don’t go and sit in the pub with a Tic’s shirt on either, I have a life outside watching football so was busy yesterday.

It ranked alongside our worst ever performances on the road.

We were scared of them right from the first whistle.

Absolute pants afternoon and to top it all off, I missed my train so had to fork out for a new ticket!

Poor, looked good warming up aswell had a slight bit of optimism. That was shattered as soon as Arsenal got the ball… Long drive home

As bad and toothless as we were, Arsenal were absolutely brilliant*. In the second half, I thought we looked a little better, but nowhere near good enough.

As I said yesterday, I’ll accept that if the lack of effort at Arsenal translates into a more spirited and more effective perfomance and result on Tuesday. I’m not 100% confident though, it has to be said.

Griff, we made arsenal look good. I lost count of the times where we had nice possession of the ball but then failed to make it out of our half because of misplaced passes – we were then constantly on the back foot. We lost the game before the game started particularly when we started with the Chuckle Brothers in the centre of our defence.

We started the second half slightly better but only because Di Santo gave us more of a presence up front – Rodders didn’t have a kick in the first half. Di Santo was getting very frustrated though when our midfield failed to spot the ball over the top when he had made a good run. He and Al Habsi were the only two positives to take from today – oh and McCarthy on the bench! Why didn’t McArthur start by the way?

Despite missing my train back and seeing us roll over and allowing Arsenal to tickle our bellies, the worst part of the day was being patronised by smug Arsenal fans on the way home – ‘you don’t travel well do you, I knew your away support was bad..’ one harped on.

            Smug cockney tw~ts!

By the way Charlie didn’t look interested. I think I was sat in front of his brother with a load of other Frenchies. He’ll be off in the next couple of days.

Yeah Swindon, I’d have to say that’s how it looked to me from the comfort of my armchair. Very similar to the League Cup game down there.

I’d be tempted to start with both Di Santo and Rodallega on Tuesday or we can forget it.

Got to agree with Swindon, Hugo got no service what so ever 1st half,Charley just didn’t look interested, defence was awful, this knocking it around across the back just doesnt work, more often than not we end up losing it and putting ourselves under pressure, looked slightly better for the first 5-10 minutes of the 2nd half, only thing on a positive note was that the Emirates lacks atmosphere more than any other ground i’ve visited, certainly worse than the DW, if this is the way it turns out when your successful in the premiership then i for one don’t want it.

to be honest Griff i don,t think he has the bottle to start with 2 up front, i for one dont think we can rely on drawing games now, i’d rather we just went out for the win and if that aint good enough then at least we went down trying something different, one up front obviously aint working.

            #56657

I never said 2 up front, I know he won’t start with that. :)

But he might start with Di santo up top with Rodallega left/right/behind him

All you need to say is that its easy to support a big club, patronising the smaller clubs makes them smaller still. I bet those fans werent brought up in Highbury.

Where is the glory in supporting a club that has failed to win a major trophy in god knows how many years.

Always hold your head up high being a Wigan fan.
