Have you ever thought about a `merger` with vital?
worbo is a top bloke,im sure if you two could get your heads together we could have a crackin `busy` board!
Just a thought like.
7 October 2011 at 1:22 am #72157I know ‘Worbo’ very well, but we left rivals to get our ‘independence’. We won’t be going back to to that sort of regime.
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that
7 October 2011 at 1:23 am #72158Why Jayt`Super Latics Forum`???? This is for everyone, I just try to keep it going, and am not doing very well at that at the moment

7 October 2011 at 11:21 am #72161Not politics, just too many restrictions and too many rules to go by.

7 October 2011 at 3:20 pm #72164I know ‘Worbo’ very well, but we left rivals to get our ‘independence’. We won’t be going back to to that sort of regime.Jay, I thought Rivals went bust and the old site disappeared with it i.e. it was not your choice to leave?
Trulatic4eva – Even though the site I am involved with didn’t receive an invite, I think it’s a great idea in principle, Sunderland have a similar set up and it would only make our fan base stronger. Not with standing all the disputes and bickering of course
I would say the restrictions are more of a technical nature
7 October 2011 at 5:24 pm #72165Rivals was bought by teamtalk, SKY bought teamtalk, we resigned from SKY just before SKY shut it all down anyway and tried to get it all running off the back of teamtalk. I assume they failed in that effort as most of the old rivals lot went independent again or give it up.
I suppose it was like CL and vital not being invited when TNS set up. I know that sounds argumentitive but it is not intended to be, you had your reasons.
Please remember that there isn’t just me here, without John Heeley, Landgate, Conroy, Duke, JF, SAS, Simon Gregory and others I wouldn’t physically or mentally be able to do anything… thanks guys by the way, I know I don’t say it often enough…
This is a technical hitch that is being remedied as we type, so hopefully by next week it will all be OK. I will be asking everbody possible to come on the message boards and go around the site at a certain time next week to see if we can break it…. so keep looking in and bear with us whilst this glitch is happeneing.

OK fair enough, but if there was never a problem being a part of the Rivals network for years until it got bought out then it seems a little harsh (in my opinion) criticising someone running a site on the Vital network?
As for your second point, I think I made my position clear in response to trulatic4eva namely
Even though the site I am involved with didn’t receive an invite, I think it’s a great idea in principle, Sunderland have a similar set up and it would only make our fan base stronger. Not with standing all the disputes and bickering of course
However, there are clearly technical problems involved with merging different forums as those part of networks have to retain the ‘house style. The only other thing we agreed when we merged our own three indepndent sites was not to accept commercial advertising, which again would make merging this site and others difficult. But it was by no means a closed shop and still isn’t. aAs I said I think it’s a great idea in principle
10 October 2011 at 5:36 pm #72209Agreed, The Latics’ websites to be in a decline. Maybe something along the lines of a hyperboard linking them, all together will re-ignite a little more interest.
Ideas are good in principal but its the powers that be, Finances e.t.c that would have to decide.
Would need them all to get together to discuss the pro’s and con’s of it. For me i think it would be a good idea.
11 October 2011 at 12:27 pm #72229I think people should focus on the subject matter of debate, not which web site.
Maybe we have done all subjects to death and realised we dont have much of an influence in the game, so people lose interest !
