Wigan have tabled an offer for Swansea midfielder Ferrie Bodde, BBC Wales understands.
Bodde is still recovering from a serious knee injury
Swansea have so far refused to confirm a bid has been made but it is understood Wigan could be prepared to pay up to £4.5m for the Dutchman.
New Latics boss Roberto Martinez said he would not raid his former club for players unless other teams made bids.
Bolton had an offer of £2.5m for the 27-year-old turned down during the close season.
Only last week, Bodde’s agent met Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins to discuss the midfielder’s future.
