Guillermo Franco and Franco Di Santo are both set to complete their mvoes to the club this week as Roberto Martinez looks to increase his small squad.
Guillermo Franco, the 33 year old Argentina born, Mexico striker is a free agent after being released by West Ham at the end of last season. The striker had an impressive World Cup, and would offer the much needed target man style play that the Latics need.
Similarly, Franco Di Santo would fit into the target man role, holding the ball up and linking the play. The young Argentinian striker is likely to join on loan from Chelsea after spending last season at Ewood Park.
Should both Franco and Di Santo complete their moves, Jason Scotland would depart the club for Ipswich Town in a deal worth around £1 million.
Also set to join the Latics are Carlos Salcido in a £2million deal from PSV Eindhoven, Steven Caldwell on a free transfer, and Michael Johnson on loan from Manchester City as Martinez also bolsters his defensive options.
I hope all this just isn’t speculation tbh, Simply we need players in and need them in now,Simply up next is Spurs,Sunderland And Man City….We really need a lift tommorow night against Hartlepool and get the win to lift the players spirits…Upwards and Onwards!!
