We have lost against a piss poor side who scored a flukey goal doing what we should be doing. Forward heading on to another player in a forward position who got a spawny deflection. Us lump it to an isolated Grigg who has nobody within yards of him. Burn and Morsey were badly let down tonight after playing superb only to end up on the losing side because we refuse to attack teams. Wednesday got gifted 3 points

Yep, the tactic is picking up points away but one win in 8 is it at home proves we need a rethink. Joyce has us set up not to conceed and to be fair we look compact and well drilled but going forward we have very little. So frustrating.

Not necessarily the one up front is the issue its the non existent support from too many defensive midfielders. Hopefully Obertan and Wier who looked half decent may change that.

Change of tactics especially at home is probably the only chance we have of saving this season but is there enough time for wholesale team changes yet again to work as matches are running out quickly.
What can we get out of the next three matches. 3 points tops with this football.

I thought Burn was awesome and made Wednesdays multi million pound attack look average but we did concede to a knock on from a forward doing what forwards should do . Midfield too congested with no threat up top allowed them to force us to play deep so even more space between Grigg and the so called support. Needs sorting pdq or we will go down. Bogle looks like he could be a right hand full so play him along with Will especially at home.

Beagrie and Kirkland were spotted on last night with their post match summary of Wigan. They can see it,we can so why this persistence in going out not to lose.Commentator made statement that Caldwell believed Grigg can’t play in a 2 up front. Both Beagrie and Kirkland both totally disagreed and contrary to that both think that’s exactly what he needs.Start with 1 on his own Tuesday and you can start planning for league 1 …..we have lost too many games when being a bit more offensive minded we could have eeked out a result.Weir and Obertan must surely come in on Tuesday with Bogle,Grigg……..

WJ has already told us that Obertan has not touched a ball for over 3 weeks, its Russia’s winter break. It would be unfair to the lad to throw him in when he’s not up to speed.

I liked the look of James Weir though, he looked up for the fight and surged into the Wednesday box 2-3 times in his short cameo. :)

In that case then we should have signed a player who was immediately ready to replace Yanic.
Three weeks may be too late. That will take us into March. Give him two or three weeks to settle and we have him then for a miracle making five or six weeks before he fly’s off to the sun with us in League 1.

This seems very likely if this is true.

Well my heart would like him to be flying down the wing on Tuesday pumping crosses in for Bogle to nod in or lay off for Grigg but then there is reality.

What instead of buying a top quality player??? If they had signed a player from Mansfield who was ready to play on the left wing, you would have moaned that he wasn’t good enough.
In other words WJ can’t win no matter what he does.

No don’t get me wrong JR he is a quality player and he is here because of WJ but we are getting close to panic stations and need immediate impact to get us out of this shite. Just hope he isn’t going to take forever to make a difference. We only have the player to the end of the season so he needs to be up and running quickly.

I’ve not ridden a pushbike since last summer. I reckon I could still manage to get from A to B without crashing or falling off.

Well of course JR. Why would you want to settle for anything less? Wigan Athletic….. ‘Making people think they can only afford second rate since 2009’
