Attack attack attack great point today and unbeaten in 5 but the gaps now closed if it doesn’t change we are fucked.
3 March 2019 at 2:49 am #176783Stay out of the bottom 3 we’ll be reet
If we drop into the bottom 3 we’ll go down
Glad to be proved wrong
3 March 2019 at 11:58 am #176785We created just as many clear chances as they did and I thought it was a great point.
They have one of, if not the best defences in the league so breaking them down was always going to be tough.
3 March 2019 at 1:18 pm #176786It was like watching porridge set at times. Think we were scared of their league position rather than how good they were.
If the fans are told in May that we are going to play this way then season card sales will drop even at the giveaway prices we charge.
I suppose we won’t believe a word of what Cook says though after what we were promised in the last closed season. High pressing attacking football!!! Not seen much of that promise really have we.3 March 2019 at 2:44 pm #176787Saw plenty of it at the start of the season and then injuries set in and poor results and now its about protecting our status in this league by any means necessary. It wont be pretty at times but if we stay up then we can plan again next season with, hopefully, a bigger budget.
Had we played attacking football all season so far but were in the bottom 3 in say Boltons position, what would your stance be then?
3 March 2019 at 2:49 pm #176788I’m sure there were probably people out there who walked off after the city game moaning that we were too defensive and only scored 1. No pleasing Wiganers. Or Chorley/Prestoners in this case.

Who knows that’s just speculation.

Well I’ll word it differently.
Are you happy to see all out attacking football regardless of the result?

So would you be happy with a John Beck approach that got results then?3 March 2019 at 8:33 pm #176805Well you don’t get any points for pretty football
3 March 2019 at 8:50 pm #176807Well you don’t get any points for pretty footballAs the darkside used to tell us under martinez. Now its all about attractive football.
3 March 2019 at 8:57 pm #176808I’d rather pick up points at Derby without playing them off the field with attractive football.
Points matter now until we’re guaranteed safety that’s our priority.3 March 2019 at 9:37 pm #176809Well you don’t get any points for pretty football

It was nowt like pretty football under Bob, more of a monotonous torture most of the time but it gave us three great escapes and an FA Cup win.
