The First Allocation Of Wembley Tickets priced at £65 have already SOLD OUT! …The girl on the counter say’s they had to start on the extra allocation today!…I’m in block 520!
24 April 2013 at 2:31 am #110705I have just gone online and ‘ordered’ a £65 ticket in a number of blocks no issue.

Half the allocation is in the £85 bracket. Most of Wigan’s season ticket holders will have bought by now, but there’ll be another surge when they go on General Sale

The club were instructed for the semi to sell back to front. If that policy is still in force then the £115 tickets are nearly sold out. The top tier is selling well, with only single tickets available in the £65 range in most blocks. Which is why they are selling other blocks, because people who want two or more can’t get any.
The £45 tickets also seem to be virtually sold out in the upper tier.
The lower tier is not selling so well, understandably. So far 114 has only sold tickets on the very back row. 111 is the most sold out, having reached down to row 15 of 45.
A quick back of the envelope calculation puts sales at somewhere around 12-16k. Wildly inaccurate cause I don’t know how each block holds.
I think we will get close to selling out but it won’t look great on the tele because up top will be sold out and the lower tier will be a bit more
Empty.24 April 2013 at 10:43 am #110733Who cares, really?

This ticket sale obsession is becoming more tedious than SquareDaveWhelan’s rugby crowd threads.

Thanks for the reply.Based on the semi-final experience, what was the split between season-ticket sales, and the general sale? I’m wondering how many more will sell when it goes to general sale

There were actually some non ST holders walking up and down the queue on Sunday asking if anybody was only getting one ticket, and would anybody get them one. Not sure if anybody obliged.
I would expect a queue on Sunday, definitely. I might be wrong, but if I were the club, I would be bugging Sunday up all over wish fm and the local press….they might be, im not sure.
I honestly don’t think there’ll be that many tickets on general sale. I also think many will be buying tickets before the game on Saturday.

24 April 2013 at 3:51 pm #110762Does anybody have a link to the list of how many tickets are in each category? I remember seeing it a while back but can’t find it.

24 April 2013 at 4:17 pm #110767I’m in block 520!Snap, we ordered 2 in 520 this morning and chuffed with the view for the price although I didnt shop around.
I am sure we will sell out but I dont see what everyones panic has been about…
Seems to me there will be enough to please season ticket holders plus a few thousand more on the database by the time we get our second lot of tickets.

Cat 1 (most expensive) – 3,941
Cat 2 – 13,184
Cat 3 – 9,806
Cat 4 – 4,932But those numbers are based on 32k approx. You’d have to scale them down by 25/32
