The last 4 or 5 games have been well, indifferent to say the least. But is this not down to there being a preseaon with a ‘starting eleven’ that due to injuries hasn’t yet played together?
Or are some thinking that when the likes of Alcaraz, Rodallega, Boyce, McCarthy (cos he aint been fit yet) etc come back and we play our ‘strongest team’, we still won’t cut it?
FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

Jayt it’s been obvious since the start of the season James McCarthy has not been fit. We have a large number of midfielders in our squad if there not better than an unfit player why the hell did Bob sign them.
Also injuries are part of the game and yes I think we will be better when everyone is fit BUT Bob keeps going on about our quality squad, strength in depth etc.
I’m sorry Jayt I don’t see any progress and I think we will be up to our neck’s in the brown stuff coming down the stretch again this year.
3 October 2011 at 12:05 pm #72122I think the back 4 are a lost cause to be honest. But in midfield, why isnt McArthur not starting, we need him and the ginger one to try and stamp an authority on the game. Two widement, Moses and one of the new lads out wide, with the roving midfield position / second attacker being fit so McCarthy needs to be dropped, so Diame for me. Up front Di Santo or Salmon, both should be given a chance.
3 October 2011 at 8:18 pm #72128For a squad the size of ours , injuries to 4 key players can be devastating.
In defence the loss of Alcaraz is bad enough but to then lose Boyce as well is bound to have an affect. Don’t forget last season, it was only when Boycie became a regular that we started to look more solid at the back.
I agree that McCarthy is still not fully fit and I also reckon we’re expecting too much , too early from Moses. Last season he was nothing more than a bit part player – yet suddenly everyone’s looking to him to be our saviour, especially now that Rodellega’s injured.
Get everyone fully fit , give the new lads time to settle in and we’ll be reet.
4 October 2011 at 4:35 pm #72135To be fair, if Moses had got his head out of his as* earlier then he might have become more of a regular part to the team, but he has been here long enough with the expectation on him delivering, or why was he baught?
4 October 2011 at 8:23 pm #72142To be even fairer , he’s still only 20, he’d never played at this level before and he moved up here from London. So he was always going to need time settling in etc.
Last season he was behind Zog , Rodellega & Cleverley in the pecking order, so his chances were very limited. I just think it’s a big ask , for him to suddenly start every game and to be our star player. Hopefully as the season goes on and we start playing better as a team :hand: – we should start seeing him making more of an impact.

Time for Moses to step up and make a name.
