Scousers played a team were the keeper had been told to let in 3 goals, despite getting 7 shots on target they still could only manage 1.

      Brilliant !

Why was I not surprised when I saw it were Liverpool that was involved.

And true to form, like every time I include them in my bets, they didn’t come through…

If the goal keeper was the one who took the bung, why didn’t he ‘let’ one of the shots on target go in?

FA Cup Winners 2013, sounds good that

            Wasn’t their fault though

Always amuses me about the “Miracle of Istanbul” in 2005.

So Liverpool go three goals down in the first half, but then “miraculously” and “with inspired play” pull three back in the second half and win on penalties.

This all against a team that shortly afterwards was implicated in 2006 in all sorts of dodgy dealings of match fixing – that had been going on for some time. Needless to add that Berlusconi was the club owner.

But somehow the final was whiter than white.

            Yep. I believe that.

You honestly think that millionaire footballers would throw the biggest
club game in European football for a few extra quid?!

I am sure they would sooner have a Champions League medal!

On that basis could our 3-2 comeback wins at home to Arsenal and West Ham not be looked at as suspicious??

We were never in either game and were 2-0 nil down in both then someting changed! ;)

Ah yes, but when you think about it, even at pens after extra time, there was no guarantee. Most people would’ve backed Shevchenko to have scored that penalty that Dudek saved…..and don’t forget he pulled off that superb point blank block from Shevchenko as well.

I think it was more a case of Italian complacency, and the fact that Liverpool just had more left in their lockers in that second half.

I’ll believe that matches are fixed when you get a result like England beating Brazil.

                    Now that would be dodgy.

Never thought I would agree with ABL but there is always a first.

Complacency was Milan’s biggest downfall. 3-0 up at Half Time they celebrated like it was Full Time. All they had to do was go & have a kick about for 45 mins & that would see them Champions of Europe again.

Across the hallway in Liverpool’s dressing room Benitez gave his team talk to the sound of Milan celebrating.

As they say everytime someone slags off another team in the run up to a big game, Well, That’s the teamtalk done.’
