Doesn’t have quite the same excitement in League 1 does it?
Disappointed we’re away both first and last days of the season (it’s usually one or the other).
At least we’ve a home game on Boxing Day (if it doesn’t get rained off like 2 years ago).
Home against Portsmouth 26th August may get moved ;) . Apart from that there won’t be many other changes unless we get to the 3rd round of the Cup…
Oh well, roll on 5th August…be here soon enough. Anyone heard how ST sales are going?
21 June 2017 at 9:05 pm #159944Should be doing really well with all the re-newed optimism.

First home game might be moved yet.
It’s looking like Bury will play Sunderland on the Thursday on Sky Sports – so they’ll want to move our game from the Saturday to the Sunday.
22 June 2017 at 11:06 am #159950I can understand the logic in moving the Bury game, but why would the Portsmouth game be shifted?
22 June 2017 at 12:02 pm #159951The goons might get to wembley and we usually kick off early
22 June 2017 at 2:11 pm #159953An early kickoff wouldn’t be popular with the thousands of Portsmouth fans who would be planning to make the long trip. Also, none of you lot would be bothered about watching a rugby final!

The owner and chairman are quite partial to a bit of rugby league though.

3000 Portsmouth fans are not. If I understand it correctly then changes to kick off times are mutually agreed. With Pompey owned by the fans, I doubt they’d shit on their fans to accommodate the wishes of the two Dave’s to start early so they can watch a rugby match on tv!

Could move to Sunday
22 June 2017 at 11:11 pm #159965I would sooner travel away on day 1 and on our last game than anything else it adds a few extra travelling fans and better atmosphere UP THE TICS.
22 June 2017 at 11:46 pm #159966Could move to SundayCould.
But imagine the meltdown Bullit, Bickymon, JR & Horc would have!
23 June 2017 at 12:23 am #159967No meltdown from me Mutty. Whether it is right or wrong to move a football match to accommodate two people to be able to watch a minority sport akin to hockey on TV is however very questionable, but whatever day it is, I’ll be there.

We owe Pompey one anyway we played at Fratton in the Prem on a Saturday night and the trains were fooked up as usual we ended up spending the night in Chichester. A right one horse town.

Bonfire night as well if I remember rightly, but we did win so it was worth it.
