19 August 2013 at 11:35 pm #119527Suggest you stay off a Wigan Athletic board if it bothers you that much.
The Otter? More like the gullible fish – I reel you in every time!
Haha did you really write this ironic post?
Mutty been tossed back in more times than a baby lobster!
20 August 2013 at 1:41 am #119529It may not need to be shown in Thailand, however, I’m sure due to the events of the last 8 years and in particular May 11 2013, many people in that country are far more aware of the name Wigan Athletic FC then any other team which chooses to play in the town.
20 August 2013 at 3:52 am #119540And if he hasn’t made his mind up yet it’s ok. They still have quite a few of their 10,000 ticket allocation available at the ticket office.Sorry to disappoint your w@nkfest, but we are now close to selling out our 3rd set of 10,000 tickets.
Enjoy your big night out tomorrow against the Doncaster Belles.

It says nothing of the sort. They are “anticipating” i.e guessing. They still have their original 10,000 allocation on sale and are guessing at numbers bought from rugby headquarters. Don’t forget that this is the club that took the whole of the “magic” daily attendance and incorporated it into their own figures to boost their average attendance.
I look forward to playing Doncaster tonight. More than I looked forward to most games in the last few years. There was a time when you probably looked forward to watching Latics v Doncaster. But then you changed your allegiances. Something genuine supporters don’t do.

“They’ve decorated a mannequin in cherry and white…..”
Well, that explains the 30,000 claim :cheer:

Nice to see the players backing the town’s rugby side in their quest for a unique double for the town.
Shame many of the contributors to this board cannot behave in the same manner.

Oh dear, mutty, you make it so easy.
Where on this thread had anyone said they are not backing the team for a unique double, as you put it?
The thread started with my highlighting that rugby, the sport, has hooliganism problems – a point which has been consistently denied by rugby fans.
And the thread has evolved into a discussion of attendances and ticket sales – a topic which again, you must admit, was done to death by the rugby “experts” in the Evening Post when we went to Wembley.
In so far as I can raise the slightest glimmer of interest in a dying sport, then I suppose I would favour the local team over someone else (I don’t even know who they’re playing – and I don’t really care).
But then so I would with a hockey tournament, cricket match or swimming gala.

I never said “Thread”. Perhaps you need to read my words a bit more carefully.

Last words by Tez H at post 116580 – “Come on Hull”.
20 August 2013 at 5:25 pm #119565Awww Didddums Mutty, did I upset you on that thread, so much you saved it?
Did I say bad things about your rugby team?
Sorry Sorry Sorry
Come on Hull!!
*Disclaimer – I actually do not give 2 sheites whether 1 or t’other team wins or loses, just hope its not too emabarrasing for the town, with empty seats, fighting etc
20 August 2013 at 5:38 pm #119566How Wigan RL anticipate having 30,000 fans in the stadium when they haven’t sold 10,000 tickets is beyond me. As for a 3rd set of 10,000, doubt that has ever been an option. Still Wigan RL and their fans living in a dream world when it comes to attendances is older news than Hitler invading Poland.
As for the game, if they win, its a great achievement for the towns 2 teams to lift the Cup trophies, if they don’t then so what.
Sunday v Boro is far more important.

The number of people registered with the RFL as Wigan fans that have bought tickets? (I have a ticket account with the RFL that has be down as a Wigan fan for example)
