Ian Lenagan says he would love a joint season ticket. Do what you want I say, but if the cost rises they can feck right off.
I’m not paying for something I’ll never use. Are they that feckin skint ?!
23 January 2019 at 8:21 pm #175409They could offer a joint season ticket at a discounted price for the price of both but-
1. They won’t sell many.
2. I won’t be buying one.23 January 2019 at 8:29 pm #175410I’m not opposed to it in the slightest but I can’t see the benefit to either club.
The only people that it will appeal to are probably the ones who already watch both clubs, in which case all you will do is reduce your ST intake money coz rather than buying 2 full priced ST’s they will be buying 1 discounted one
I doubt that they can make it cheap enough to entice those who have a preference for one sport/team but don’t mind the other one whilst still making it financially viable for both clubs
To me it would make more sense to offer a discount on individual match day tickets to ST holders of the other club23 January 2019 at 8:43 pm #175411Feck off to that fecking wurriors st helens and latics yea wurriors whatever
23 January 2019 at 8:43 pm #175412Yep, wouldn’t be too much of a difference but he is probably referring to the two clubs coming together which he has championed for a while.
As far as being skint goes:

https://companycheck.co.uk/company/00174692/WIGAN-RUGBY-LEAGUE-CLUB-LIMITED/financials
Neither club is exactly rolling in it.
23 January 2019 at 9:17 pm #175416Nothing against it if there were season cards available on an individual basis for either club whose fans are not arsed watching the other sport. Could be of interest to fans who follow both if there was a further discount but that discount could lead to a loss of income for both clubs.
What as our chairman had to say about it? Come to think about it what does our chairman say about anything?23 January 2019 at 9:20 pm #175417As mentioned, just cross ref people’s names or ask people to apply. If you watch both codes fine and discount accordingly.
Has he not thought this out ?
So I’m a latics fan and a guy at works a rugby fan ……..
I’ll leave the rest for Mr Lenagan to struggle with the bellend23 January 2019 at 10:31 pm #175425All well and good being discounted but I wouldn’t want the same seat for both games.
23 January 2019 at 11:10 pm #175427If it saves a few bob for some folk who watch both sports, what’s the problem?
23 January 2019 at 11:40 pm #175429Some of you seem to be going off on one as though they’re going to be compulsory.
There will be Latics season tickets.
There will be Warriors season tickets.
As now.
However – if you want both, as quite a few people do (I’m sorry to tell you), then there could be a discount.
What on Earth is the problem?
Whether it ends up viable for either club is not our problem.
Calm down, people.23 January 2019 at 11:59 pm #175430That’s a great idea for those who want to take advantage of it. Not for me thanks but I’m sure there are some. Why knock the efforts of the clubs to increase attendance or revenue when it doesn’t disadvantage anyone.
24 January 2019 at 11:36 am #175437All well and good being discounted but I wouldn’t want the same seat for both games.Whilst I personally hate all forms of hugging I’m sure there are many like yourself egg who like both sports and if it could help increase attendances then I would be all for it. I’m sure you would get to pick your seat egg for both. In a way it makes a lot of sense if it benefits both clubs though not sure how it will.

Why knock the efforts of the clubs to increase attendance or revenue when it doesn’t disadvantage anyone.Revenue is much more important than attendance as demonstrated this season with pay on the day prices. Goodness knows what the intensions of the silent ones will be!! May even put season card prices up considerably and shut the East and South Stands. Using the present formula of cashing in on away fans they may just aim for 5 thousand loyal home fans paying double what they pay now and be quids in and have the East Stand spare for bigger away followings.
Who knows what these lot will do!24 January 2019 at 2:45 pm #175439Having thought about it I fail to see how it could work. How would the club police it. How would you stop 2 fans 1 Latics and 1 gypo from buying a joint season card?. I don’t see it happening myself.
24 January 2019 at 3:25 pm #175440would you stop 2 fans 1 Latics and 1 gypo from buying a joint season card? Why would a St Helens fan want a Wigan season ticket?
