The foul count today was 22-7 against us. Also why was only Andy Johnson booked when 6 players left the field when they scored?
15 January 2011 at 9:16 pm #55563I didnt watch it but i bet the foul count had something to do with the worst midfielder we have had for the last 5 years.
Step forward Hendry Thomas
15 January 2011 at 9:21 pm #55564You obviously didn’t watch it cos the ref was fekin awful.
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!15 January 2011 at 9:43 pm #55567You obviously didn’t watch it cos the ref was fekin awful. :roll:That’s an understatement. I swear he made Howard Webb look competent. As for the linesman in front of the Boston stand he got 1 thing right all game & that was the handball.
On that point why didnt Duff or Murphy get booked for their protests? It had shades of United/Arsenal in their heated protests.15 January 2011 at 9:53 pm #55569Most fouls were caused through very poor attempts to get the ball, instead we take the player, overall a draw was a good result, i know 3 points would been better. bloody rubbish wigan!

Border line with Stefan Bidstrup.
Seriously though, he’s a decent ball winner he just needs to learn how to pass forwards.
15 January 2011 at 11:51 pm #55587Also why was only Andy Johnson booked when 6 players left the field when they scored?I said that. Also, why was nobody booked for the protest at the linesman? I doubt the conversation went ‘Sorry sir why have you disallowed that goal can I ask please?’ It was more like ‘Tw*t, c*nt, w*nker, b*llocks’ Refs will never get respect from players if they’re allowed to do that unpunished.
16 January 2011 at 12:43 am #55604Hugo was booked for protesting about a foul but nothing done to then when they ran 40yards. Also do the rules not say that if you leave the field of play celebrating a goal you get booked. There was 5 or 6 of their players went into the stand

He shouted at the linesman from a distance. Danny Murphy nearly nutted him.
16 January 2011 at 3:46 pm #55704No one witness the oscar performance from Duff with that shocking attempt at a dive in the second half. Why wasn’t he booked?
Overall the referee was poor, and to think he was probably in a better position than the linesman for the handball, yet it was up to him to give the decision. Really bad refereeing today. The amount of times our defenders where judged to have fouled their attackers was unreal, with Hangeland and Hughes doing the same.
16 January 2011 at 7:26 pm #55725Their disallowed goal was hand ball and also a earlier hand ball by Hangeland right in front of the linesman near his own corner flag.
However, the officials are not the reason we lost. We dont know how to defend a lead and the midfield is pish poor how many times did one of their centre backs pass the ball along the floor to an attacker, straight through our FIVE man midfield!
I believe that the time has come for Martinez to do the best for the club and step down. However, I cant see this happening and fear we will be watching the same rubbish next season in the fizzy pop league16 January 2011 at 8:11 pm #55730Stop moaning…..yes the ref was s**t,but so was the 11 plonkers in blue n white!
