He is without a club, still only 30, and surely would be worth a look?

Had 6 months in Spain after a few years in the Bundesliga. A bit of an enigma, but capable of class on his day. I would definitely be inviting him down to Euxton if I was at the club.
Are the club…Chris Brass and Paul Cook even looking? Are they confident enough in our own club making such a move? I am. I know Jewell had a bit of a ‘we are a small club’ complex before we got promoted to the Premier League, but I just hope our current manager may have a bit more confidence. Make the move…dont know until you ask. Id sooner have Di Santo back than Clarke.

At the age of 30 vat I would say he without a club for a good reason. He must have been poor of late. Crouchy is a free agent as well but he is 38 so too old. I think we are putting all our eggs in one Jamal Lowe basket and it could backfire.

I do too. Its a situation that benefits Portsmouth, and or the player. It seems as though its us and Millwall in a bidding war for him, which only puts up the fee and also improves his chances of staying there on a better contract.
They are talking 3 million, but I don’t want us to pay that for him. I think there must be better options. Maybe Di Santo would relish, and thrive from a new start at a slightly lower level?
We need to think a bit bigger I think. Buying a player from League One who has done ok, but not been outstanding, and paying 3 million…we may as well have kept hold of Will Grigg.

It was just a thought.
