All is quiet on the Franco Front.
With historical links to Liverpool failing to materialise, more recent links with West Brom failing to materialise and Swansea’s Laudrup coming out and denying any interest in the player its not looking to good for Argentina’s third choice striker….
Franco said on twitter on the 10th of July:
Soon I will have some news about my future in the next season !!! Positive 100% !!!
5 August 2013 at 5:33 pm #118889Don’t why this continuation went missing from my first post…
With almost a month passing since that positive tweet its got me wondering what his position actually is.
If he joins an English club he will have missed all pre season and there is no mention if he has been training with anyone to keep up his fitness.
Would any of you have him back here to compete with Holt and Fortune for a place in the front line?

Rather have Frankie ditorri.
5 August 2013 at 11:53 pm #118920Given his goalscoring record I can’t see why the hell anyone would want him. He has had three clubs in this country and been pretty woeful for all of them. Given Roberto was aways bigging him up why is he not at Goodison? Then to compound matters when I tried to find news on where he might pop up I found this:

Not forgetting our other player, who he said was as good as Xavi and Iniesta. He Hasn’t come throwing the bucks around to sign him…
6 August 2013 at 3:07 am #118934Perch could be considered the dirtiest Premier League player last season (202 minutes/card), with Caldwell on 261 minutes/card.
Barnett has a shocking disciplinary record too. With Rogne and Caldwell both liable to injury, we could have trouble with our centre halves again this season.
In addition, Holt committed more fouls than any other Premier League player last season!

6 August 2013 at 2:48 pm #118956Granted but apart from running around like a headless chicken he’s paid to score a lot more goals than he did I’m already thinking our strike force now is a lot better, futures lookin bright we’ll have to wear shade
6 August 2013 at 4:49 pm #118968He scored a great goal at Fulham! What’s that saying again, “He scores great goals but he’s not a great goal scorer”.
