Has a season ticket holder for the past 12 years i have have never asked or even agreed with the club putting on free coaches for away travel simply for the reason of our season ticket pricing which is second to none in any division for price and value.
However after our last two results and the position we are now in,i think the club needs to put on free coaches to the W.B.A game and get as many fans there as possible.
Many fans like myself pick and choose thier away games throughout the season and the W.B.A game would have been a must do game, but because of two trips to Wembley i like others decided to give the game at the Hawthorns a miss because of finances.
This is now a must win game and free coaches would be one way to get more fans going to the game and getting behind the lads.
Are there any more people on here would go to the Hawthorns if free transport was avaliable?
If we’re fighting for Premier League survival, and you think that your presence would make the difference, then why should free travel be the deciding factor whether you go or not?
totally agree I worked at Fulham fc a few years ago and the subsidise all away travel granted they don’t get the best of away support even with that but I really think wigan could do a bit more than they do on this front
So we get to watch home games at 3rd Division prices and people think we could do more for away games….get real.
As for today, we again didn’t make the most of our opportunities, however, unlike Di Santo’s miss at City, a lot of those chances today weren’t taken due to some good defending by WH (Collins in particular) and a couple of pieces of excellent keeping by Jaaskelainen.
Anyway, its still in our hands, need to beat Spurs next week though and go from there
If the coaches were free I wouldn’t go…… Come to think of it, if the match tickets were free too I probably still wouldn’t go.
Watching sideways and backwards football with very little penetration has always been a turn off for me.
Make a day of it and drive about a mile past West Broms ground onto Lozells Road and stop off at Bings Jamaican restaurant – they serve the best curried goat outside the Caribbean.

Or the Vine Pub, for a wide choice of different cuisine.
But, these people can’t afford to eat or drink because they need the club to pay for their transport, don’t they? Perhaps Sharpy’s can throw in free fish and chip dinners for them as well.
I only said it would be a good idea I personally don’t and would never go on a coach train all the time for me but I am lucky enough to afford it but there are people who cant the club/sponsers layed coaches on to west ham a few years back and the result didn’t go our way but a lot of people took the trip there
