I had a salesman in for a quote on some work the day after the West Ham match. The bloke was a manure fan from Warrington and he had been to the West Ham game with his lad with free tickets from his son’s football team (part of latics in the community). He was with 40 other dad’s and their kids.
Anyway he was buzzing about the match and claimed he was going to buy a season ticket if we stayed up.
So I called him yesterday (to finally give him the work) and I asked him if he had his season ticket yet. As expected he said “not yet” but he was going to get one because his son had started back training last saturday and at least 4 of the other blkes had bought season tickets (them and their kids) so he was going to join them.
Even if he doesn’t do it, and the others are representitive accross all groups, then that’s 10%. Not bad considering the seats were empty anyway and hopefully will mean we have more people in the stadium at least.
I did explain that not all our games were like West Ham.
