If we can beat them, even in a friendly, we’ve got a platform to work on.

A few reasonable players in their squad: besides Jermaine Pennant and Jiri Jarosik, there’s Edmilson who’s got a World Cup Final medal, and a few other internationals: Carlos Diogo (Uruguay), Ikechukwu Uche (Nigeria) and Eliseu (Portugal).

I went to watch Barcelona play Zaragoza at the Nou Camp, 6 – 1 to Barca Real Z were dire believe me they reminded me of us in defence

‘a real test’ – considering we are in the ‘best league’ in the world I consider it a similar fixture to lets say Wigan v Hull or Portsmouth

              a real test ?

Well we failed to beat both Hull and Pompey so its a test we could use.

Whereas at home we know how to beat teams on a par with Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool.

                      :P

Jun 10 2010 by Paul Wheelock, Chester Chronicle

ROBERTO Martinez’s Wigan Athletic have agreed to send a side to the Deva Stadium on Sunday, August 1 to take on Chester in a glamour pre-season friendly (1pm kick-off).”

Now that must be a sad day when Wigan get classed as a Glamour pre-seaon friendly…. Look how far we have come !!

                      :)

Are you sure it wasn’t taken from a Wigan Athletic context?
