8 July 2014 at 10:15 pm #132193Bloody cock up! Should have been at home in the first place.
9 July 2014 at 3:46 pm #132197Bloody cock up! Should have been at home in the first place.Yes, but the tubbies have been rolling around on that all summer too so that is in a terrible state also*
*the pitch actually looks in excellent condition after being re-seeded.
9 July 2014 at 4:20 pm #132198Bloody cock up! Should have been at home in the first place.I don’t know why you waste your time posting on here, you’re clearly a top-notch professional football club administrator/executive in the making. Just have done with it, give Whelan a ring and make life a dream for all of us.
Deluded!
9 July 2014 at 8:49 pm #132200Don’t know why Elton John is being blamed. The pitc was fully covered with purpose made aluminium boarding to protect it. Can only be the egg chasers on a wet night.
9 July 2014 at 10:11 pm #132202Fantastic. The master has spoken. Everyone shut up and do not have opinions because only the mighty one can have one.

10 July 2014 at 4:25 am #132206Bloody cock up! Should have been at home in the first place.Correct Donny, there is no reason at all why it couldn’t have been played at the DW. I don’t think the fat lads are playing on our ground this weekend anyway.

Clearly that’s not true or they would have been playing at DW.
- Advised against it by the groundsman
- Contract with Wigan Warriors not to use it in the summer
- Cheaper to play the game – in terms of policing etc – elsewhere
- An agreement with Wigan Metro to play friendlies in Leigh
- Dave Whelan deliberately wants to piss donnys page off
There are lots of reasons that could be behind why the game is not being played at DW.
It’s certainly not being played elsewhere for ‘no reason at all’.
10 July 2014 at 1:46 pm #132208SW, Griff is there a good reason why we don’t use Robin Park Athletic Stadium as a back up for occasions like this? Surely it would be better than to play it behind closed doors.

It may possibly be due to a lack of safety certificates etc.

I’m not really sure, and it will have safety certificates, but it may be due to other events etc scheduled, or just the cost. I know that RPA is quite expensive to rent as it’s Council run. When reserves played there the Council set the entrance fees and season tickets weren’t valid.
