Just seen on Sky Sports News, that we’ve rejected a 4 million bid for Hugo Rodallega from QPR, apparently Latics are after player + cash deal with Fulham and West Brom interested, and Fulham have are going to be offering Andy Johnson as part of the deal.

Can’t see Andy Johnson wanting to play in the Championship.
So if it’s West Brom it’ll either be Marc Antoine Fortune or Simon Cox. Probably Fortune.
What about Odenwinge??? he hasn’t signed a contract I don’t think, mind you can’t see him in the Championship either :([/quote]
not sure if he signed it or not mate but he has good has said he wouldnt come to us when it came out before

Sorry Standish just one of those days. But realistically any new signings will probably end up in the Championship which won’t help our ability to sign any decent players.
With knee’s on par with Hargreaves ,and a goal scoring record in the Prem no better than Rodallega’s is Andy Johnson such a good idea ?.I would suggest Latic’s cash in now on Rodallega and wait till the summer and give Callum McManaman his well earned chance.

Fair observation there Bing…..however, if young Callum picked up an injury (God forbid) then we would be a striker (of prem quality/experience) light.
Cash in, yes……..take a punt on AJ, yes. I agree give Callum his chance and start the lad, however, there is nothing wrong with having a bit of experience on the bench to come in an impact roll
Look’s like Fulham have given up on Hugo. Andy Johnson had also said “no” to a move to Wigan so it’s looking like spurs or even jtoke coming in late for Hugo.
