                Serious question here fellas:

As ST holders how do you feel being surrounded by folk who have either got in for free or very little, and do so game after game?

I see on the news that Newcastle are selling 14 game STs for half the price that their 19 game ones sold for. That would really annoy me, having shelled out several hundred quid only to find that after only 5 games, I could get the same product for half the outlay.

Its a slippery slope, and with the country having to tighten its belt, I’d be surprised if any club who continually offer freebies or heavily discounted tickets ever increased their ST sales before next season starts. Folk will grow wise to it and wait for the “sale”.

We would complain if the club didn’t do anything to put more bums on seats.

Some of those that take up the special offers will get hooked and that can’t be bad can it.

But are they getting hooked, or merely hooked on freebies? What club (other than the promoted ones) has reported increased ST sales for 20111/12? A £7.50 bum on a seat is clearly better than an empty seat, but once everyone cottons onto the fact they can pay a lot less instead of £15, £20, £25 etc then the business model becomes unsustainable.

This season has seen more empty seats around the premiership than ever before – Man Utd were advertising season tickets for sale, and even the Emirates has a fair smattering of empty seats for every home game so far. I can only see it getting worse as people cotton onto the fact that if they sit tight they can save a few quid.

Or give away a complete stand of free tickets to the local beanz company! ;)

You’ll always get those who would only go because it’s free or next to nowt but there are others (and I know a few and one is a Spurs fan) that have bought season tickets on the back of going to see a game with a ticket from a special deal.

£7.00 is your average price now for a semi and as I rattle off 5 or 6 an hour lets just say that I am comfortable !! :silly:

The fact that we share a ground with the rugby is one reason that the club survives I would have thought ! The history between the rivalry still cuts deep but at the end of the day we are taking money off them and that has got to be a good thing right ? The crowd for sat in my opinion will be an all time low as Fulham wont bring any hardly ! Circa 15000. What is the lowest Prem gate by the way at home ? I thought it was about 15500 !

getting to the stage now where people should vote with their feet
                              after another poor start
this is one game that should be used to show our disgust and fans have had enough
                              and its time for change

but most will say give bob time he will turn it round, YEA RIGHT
could do with a wake up call for players and management
