Mathias has many similarities to Martinez, loyal, dignified, plays football the correct way etc.

Your comparing us in the Premier League, to us in the second division. It was far easier to compete in that league compared to now, hence the possibility of entertaining football was also greater. Mathias was a great bloke and was rightly held in high regard here but no way could he have maintained that standard in the Prem.
