I got a ticket for the Carling Cup final when they went on general sale but I am getting a little anxious. I can’t book a flight and hotel until I get a ticket. Is there a chance the tickets will go on general sale earlier than Sunday. I would love to be sorted before the weekend?
doubt it mate? depends how their selling just rang ticket office and the £50 tickets in the upper tier near the half way line have all sold out only £50 tickets are left behind goal, I have heard a lot of the £40 have sold out too, but there is no queues at the ticket office and on phone, and I doubt there will be a huge rush before then, i am sure there will be 10k plus on general sale
The 60 quid tickets are split up into 9 blocks which they sell tickets in order block 1 to 9,as of this morning they are selling tickets in `block 2` so there are still 7 blocks as yet unsold.
I don’t think anybody actually knows what’s going on. I got mine very early on Sunday and I’m in block 104. Looking at the map, the first block of £60 were for block 102, meaning that even before lunch on Sunday they were on to the third block, and I wouldn’t think that none have been sold since then.

No way will there be 10k plus on general sale. Maybe 5000, but even that would surprise me. Demand is a lot higher than people think.

Yeah, I agree with that.
I got tickets in block 502, people near me got 503, and my mate went and got tickets in 509. Also heard of 111, etc….all over the place really.
I think they are selling very well and we will take great support. I don’t think Wembley will sell out though. 60,000 between us and millwall, plus perhaps about 10-15,000 others. The place holds 90,000. Not bothered as long as our lot do our bit.
I think we will only sell 18000-20000 which i think is pretty good, i think people are taking a risk and hoping we get to the final, bit expensive this wembley for some, esp if we go twice.
Well if that’s the case, I would only hope the club would be sensible and make it one ticket per season ticket holder, for the first week/few days of being on sale, with a deadline for ST holders to get sorted by.
That way, if all 12,000 or so ST that we have go and get their ticket, they can relax a bit and not need worry about missing out. Then after the deadline, let the ‘free for all’ begin.
If they do the above, there should be no need for mass queuing and freezing your backside off, at all. And for once, us ST holders can feel we have had a favour off the club, as often we’ve felt a bit overlooked I think.
