Their at it again banners out and protests galore thowt us wiganers did a lot of moaning but these men take the biscuit
7 November 2009 at 10:26 pm #12439Tell us something we couldn’t have guessed.
To be honest I don’t blame them, if Uncle Dave called the JJB (i refuse to call it the DW) @sportsdirectstadium, then I wouldn’t blame any Wiganer who complained.
7 November 2009 at 10:39 pm #12447why do you refuse to call it the DW but are more than happy with JJB?
I find that very odd tbh.as for the geordies, they have more than enough reasons to moan after what they have been through recently.
still had 43000 turn up today, we can’t even get half of that in a league higher.7 November 2009 at 10:41 pm #12449DW? Dave Whelan has named the Stadium after himself, I find that a bit arrogant. It’s the club’s stadium not his, this is a fans club. and the fans should have had a say in what the stadium was called. They should have drew up a shortlist and fans could have the chance to vote.
Just my opinion, I don’t think the DW has the same ring to it as the JJB.

not true, it’s named after a sports firm. DW Sports.
and why did you say I hate you, I dont even know you, please dont flatter yourself
7 November 2009 at 10:46 pm #12454Why isn’t it called the DW Sports Stadium then?
7 November 2009 at 10:47 pm #12455how would I know?
just another thought, why was the JJB not called the JJB Sports Stadium?
7 November 2009 at 10:49 pm #12457Well if it was named after DW Sports then surely it would be called The DW Sports Stadium?
Considering it’s called the DW Stadium I imagine it stands for The Dave Whelan Stadium. Which refers back to my point.
7 November 2009 at 10:54 pm #12459He would have called it The Dave Whelan Stadium if he had wanted to name it after himself. Obvious or what????????
7 November 2009 at 10:56 pm #12461Didn’t have enough seats to spell out Dave Whelan, so he stuck with DW!

Nobody said anything about Madjeski naming his stadium after himself
7 November 2009 at 11:01 pm #12463well said mate
7 November 2009 at 11:02 pm #12464If I was a Reading fan I would.
Plus the Majeski has a certain flamboyancy, and ring to it that The Whelan doesn’t.
