Ten years ago if we were about to play Liverpool the whole town would be buzzing with anticipation. All I get on here is negative dross….come on get behind the lads, feel priviliged to support the Mighty WAFC and enjoy the ride. Most importantly …. DO NOT come on here with your know-nothing drivel if we happen to lose. (I was at Blackburn and I would rather go down and play like we do and stay up playing like them).
Come on WAFC, come on Bobby, come true WAFC fans who support through thick and thin and understand football.

so only those that buy into the – dull, painfull to watch, mistake ridden, non goalscoring, bad defending, players giving up without a fight stuff martinez serves up every week “understand football” ?
and you accuse others of coming on here “with your know -nothing drivel”

So if we play…as you say it dull, painful football but sneak a lucky 1-0 win… you will come on here and give us your usual dreary negative, tiresome whinging? Or will you just disapear until the next defeat looms?
Alternatively, we could play really well but just be out classed by a far superior team and lose say 3-1 … then it’s batton down the hatches as we all have to listen to your inane rambling.
Remember supporting the Mighty WAFC is meant to be fun, through thick and fun and all that… most of all… remember our place…no history, no fans, no prospects ….. but whatever, it’s fun while it lasts. I for one, will be here no matter what… you’re welcome to stay the course, but I doubt you will.

yes i do say that the stuff we play under martinez is dull, painful and mistake ridden do YOU or anyone else say its not.
i have used the term elsewhere – must admit it was not mine but i found it a perfect description i wish i had thought of
the stuff martinez’s teams play is “ZERO SMILES FOOTBALL”I was born and bred a stones throw from springfield park -and spent all my formative years in or around the ground and ive been here for 45 + years since -so i aint going anywhere.

Not buying your inane drivel sorry. If you were born and bred life long latics fan you would not be spreading the spleam you constantly do on here.
10 November 2010 at 2:21 am #50591Now I’m not thick, but i have never heard the word spleam.
Just googled it, thinking I might learn a new word, the nearist it came up with was sperm.
Maybe you can give me a definition. :?:10 November 2010 at 4:47 am #50608Now I’m not thick, but i have never heard the word spleam.

Yes, I for one say it’s not and, as it’s my personal opinion, neither you nor anyone one else can dispute it.So, stop thinking you are the ONLY one who knows anything about football because, you’re not. By definition, as it’s about opinions, you can’t be.
Many people come on here all the time and make different points. You come on here at different times and make the same point over and over again. We get that you don’t like Martinez. I don’t like some of the things he does either and am happy to debate them rationally – indeed, I do just that within my own circle of friends, usually away from this forum.
The reason that you get so much flack I think (and from me too) is because you cannot resist ending (or even starting) every post with Martinez is a c*** and you assume that everyone who doesn’t agree with you is a c***, too. It’s a bit childish to be fair.
I’d like to think you are exaggerating most of your attacks, but I might be wrong on that too. You are perfectly entitled to your view, of course, and as I have said on a number of occasions, I agree with some things you have to say on Martinez; most of us do.
I don’t want to speak for the board, but I would think that it’s your attitude and the relentless nature of your attacks more than anything else that make people people react to you the way they do.
10 November 2010 at 2:14 pm #50624I like our style of play, much rather watch us keep the ball and control the pace of a game rather than play the percentages with a long ball forward with players gambling on a centre forward winning the ball. Our overall play is more exciting than under Steve Bruce which is a fact. We have technically good footballers and I admire the way we play, as do a lot of other latics fans.
LMB why comment on a thread which says get behind the team and the town when all you are going to do is put something negative? Its like you crave attention, a lot like Bickymon.
Forget this clown and get behind the players, manager and club. Last season when we needed a win against one of the ‘big’ teams we stepped up to the plate.

Our overall play is more exciting than under Steve Bruce which is a fact.See, this is how you let LMB back in!! I happen to like the way we try to play, especially compared to the latter Bruce days, but it is just my opinion. How can you say it is a fact that this football is more exciting?
10 November 2010 at 2:24 pm #50627Fair point, I can’t say it is a fact. But, everyone must see (with the exception of these idiots) that the football is more pleasing to watch.
10 November 2010 at 2:27 pm #50628Fair point, I can’t say it is a fact. But, everyone must see (with the exception of these idiots) that the football is more pleasing to watch.Well, I agree with you, but who’s to say we are right.
And results are no yard-stick until this team has tried to play more hoof-ball and see if that works. Personally, I don’t thinj it will and don’t want to try it. I’d prefer to stick at this approach and hope that we get better at it and quickly.
10 November 2010 at 2:33 pm #50629Agree completely, we will come good I know it. With a couple of decisions and a bit of luck as Martinez has said we could easily be in the top half of the league.
I actually think we will get something from tonights game and against West Brom and this time next week all the negative comments will vanish.
10 November 2010 at 3:41 pm #50636Or we could lose all three and be rock bottom….
Thats the joy about football, you never know.!

The way we play it will not come good we do not have enough attacking options and we are predictable. We play all our football in our own half not were we can hurt the oposition and this is backed up by all the goals we score.
We IMO have players to change the formation and make it more attack minded but Bob is to stubborn. I fear the worst this season as I can’t see us scoring enough goals to stay up.
