Does anybody remember this lad from Derby County?
When they were in the prem he attracted huge interest from the likes of Villa, Spurs, City (before the big cash) + a few others.
He is now a free agent and has been since around the summer period after being released by Derby. His career has been plagued by injuries and it looks to have ruined a good prospect in Barnes.
He is still only 21, been training with Birmingham but has now gone to West Brom for a trial.
Shame really, always thought he was a good player who could make a name for himself.
15 January 2010 at 6:58 pm #18364Not good enough really, looked good at Derby due to his shocking teammates. If West Brom have turned him down, I don’t think we should be signing him.

I am not for 1 minute saying we should sign him. I’ve just seen his name mentioned on sky sports new about going to West Brom training on trial and looked at his wiki page. I wouldn’t want us to sign an injury plagued player, we sold Jimmy B at the right time and look at him now! People were asking for him back here not long ago. No Thanks!
15 January 2010 at 7:04 pm #18366You mean the same injury prone Jimmy Bullard that broke the record for successive Latics appearances? He’s been plaqued by injuries since he left because of a recurring injury problem that he got playing for Fulham vs Newcastle. If he was at Wigan at the time, I doubt he would have got that injury.
15 January 2010 at 7:22 pm #18372If he was at Wigan at the time, I doubt he would have got that injury. How on earth do you justify that statement? :?

Because he wouldn’t have been playing in the game for fulham vs newcastle therefore parker couldnt have fell on his leg and snapped it. Simple really. He may have got an injury at some stage but it wouldnt have been that injury and its more than likely that parker wouldnt have fell on his leg. Either you are not very clever or your trying to cause an argument for arguments sake.

Hang on a minute James, on the same basis, you might as well say that had he not signed for Wigan, you wouldn’t even be having this conversation!

15 January 2010 at 7:59 pm #18390Correct, but also, had he been born a girl, he would not have been a footballer, and would also not have got the injury! It’s all down to circumstance. Leaving Wigan is as much to blame for the injury as his decision to get out of the bed that morning. It’s just a silly argument.

Secondly, don’t be an ar**. I can’t decide which is more annoying. You trying to be funny, pedantic or acting thick.

Apart from the obvious possibility that he could have suffered the exact same injury playing for Wigan that very afternoon. He just wouldn’t have had to spend the night in Newcastle General.

He couldnt have suffered the EXACT same injury, Parker couldn’t have fell on his leg as they wouldnt have been on the same pitch, he would have been paying slightly different due to the managers tactics etc etc, Another argument lost Griff I would just quit if I was you.
