Settle for a point now me although three would be great
21 August 2015 at 10:53 pm #144330Perkins and Junior to score. we’ve got the sniff of goal.
22 August 2015 at 8:56 pm #144339Poor today.shows how poor scunthorpe was during week.not good enough.we are going down quicker than a lead ball.
22 August 2015 at 9:21 pm #144340Ok against Coventry, poor against Bury,Doncaster and from reports I’m hearing the same again today.I thought they we were ace on Wednesday so was it Scunthorpe that were pants ??? I await the posts of those who saw the game today with interest .
22 August 2015 at 10:09 pm #144341We weren’t good against Cov, but Cov were good and played well. They were always first to the 50 – 50 ball and reckoned they’d always get there first.
We were a million times better against Donc, and generally played ok. If you don’t believe me, its a good job you weren’t at Cov. The Doncy performance was a mile better. Every one says Scunthorpe was as good as it was against Newcastle when we won 4 – 0. Sounds to me as if there is a general improvement week on week. If that’s the case we’ll be beating a few more soon. There’s hope. Can’t wait, Mr Brownbill!! But of course I’d like to have seen some goals for us today.
22 August 2015 at 11:04 pm #144342Pleased GC kept the same side basicly. Today allthough we lost hopefully we can learn where we went wrong, correct that in training then keep the same side again and bounce back against Crewe.

Seemed the same old story. Lots of possession but too slow going forward.Jacobs had a quiet game and we seemed to suffer for it. On the other hand they seemed to counter with pace when they had the chance and were content to let us have the ball 30 yards from goal and pass it around and around and around …………………..
I was really confident after Wednesday as well.
Ah well Same old same old !!!!!! :(
23 August 2015 at 1:18 am #144344Strong rumours jewell back
23 August 2015 at 1:31 am #144345I hope so.I take Steve Bruce now.
23 August 2015 at 2:02 am #144349We could have played all day and still not have scored today. First game I’ve seen so will give the benefit of doubt as a new team trying to gel?
Think we only had one shot on target today which brought a good save by their keeper.
McCann didn’t have his best game, his lazy clearance caused their first goal and he lost the ball again in the second half but they hit the post that time!
Davies did ok but we need better service to the front men.
Gillingham weren’t brilliant, in fact not much better than us. Difference was they got forward quicker and pressed us which lead to both their goals.

I heard the same rumour last night, probably bollocks but it’s doing the rounds
23 August 2015 at 2:46 pm #144357Big fan of Paul. Our greatest mananager of all time IMO but bringing him back is a step backwards. However we need to quicken up this slow build up possesion stuff. We managed that really well on Wenesday so why revert back to slowing it down yesterday and losing anyway.Attack is the best kind of defence. By all means pass but pass for passings same won’t work as illustrated three or four times allready this season. The match we went after the opposition we won.
23 August 2015 at 5:44 pm #144361Would be a great move to put him alongside GC, he would learn so much from him.
From Matlock to ManU
