After today’s game they saw fit to lock the main car park’s gates and lock the home fans’ cars/passengers in until they’d emptied the North Stand and escorted Bolton’s scumbags past them, separated by a five feet fence. They even deployed the helicopter for these arseholes.

The reason I used the word ‘scumbags’ in the previous paragraph is because that’s how they portrayed themselves to be. Singing is one thing but throwing stones, spitting, threatening and hurling abuse at any man, woman or child they clapped eyes on was beyond the pale. They were an embarrassment to their town and their club.

In the good old days it would be the away fans that were treated like cattle and locked in until the coast was clear for them to vacate, regardless of what spirits they were in. Today I felt like I was part of the cattle. When we left Rotherham’s ground last week escorted by stewards and a few police, our very own arsehole section reminded the locals how they were a town full of paedophiles and I was cringing but these Bolton arseholes were in a different league.

5.45 I got off the car park. If there was no bother in the town I guess GMP are justified in their strategy but even Man Utd didn’t get that sort of presence and precedence.

While I was waiting to go I got the consolation of my phone flashing up that Rotherham had lost 2-3 :)

… and whilst on the subject of embarrassing and cringe worthy fans, what’s with 40+ year old blokes chanting **** off to your corner shop, engerland engerland and Taliban. I’d been asked by a neutral if I could get him and his lad tickets for the game as they had to spend the weekend in the area and fancied “an afternoon of footy at a nice family club”. I tried to put him off with the excuse that the football was dire and there was likely to be zero entertainment but he said he was quite happy to watch any standard game as he loves his footy, thankfully his plans changed mid week and I avoided having to spend an afternoon in abject shame because of our bigoted neanderthal support.

Had to laugh at the teenagers all decked out in hooligan gear ,plent of Tachini, fila and stone island on show.I thought I was back in the 80s.
rather worrying trend developing though and something football needs to keep an eye on because there seems to be a very large unruly element developing with the younger supporters. We have our own imbeciles but the away numbers coming towards the bridge were very large so a major incident was avoided.Another thing I cannot stand these days is the way these little Tweenies mouth off as they walk to the game to try and provoke opposing supporters “Whelan break your leg” and ” go and @@@@ your sister” are sure fire ways to get filled in but they don’t seem to care which is alarming.
I don’t remember as much vitriol when we played each other in the premier league so maybe it is jealousy because we stuck a major pot on the sideboard something they haven’t done for nearly 50 years.
I thought GMP handled the situation very well.

Oh yeah they handled it really well. Marching the away gimps to the home support and allowing them to lob coins and bricks, spit and swear while the home families are kept in as sitting targets.

Never heard anything like it. All this after it had gone off before the game and they had the chopper out.

Six fingered knuckle dragging idiots them Horwich lot. I think the police escort down towards the bridge was more likely for their own protection.

It was good policing they stopped them near the fence so they couldn’t go anywhere however I’m sure the club will pick up the tab because the policing was on the stadiums land.
                  what alternative did they have?
Let them freely move into the home supporters so they could bully and intimidate and then cause a massive crush as the innocents tried to move away.
Very sad that people behave in this manner.

Have you ever actually been to an away game where there’s an expectation of violence and it isn’t the away contingent kept behind? Vince is on the GiMP payroll and I claim my 5 pounds.

                    Never heard so much bollocks

I once went to an fa cup game between blackpool and man city at bloomfield road, my dad’s a blackpool fan but watches wigan, long story, anyway there was trouble all game near the segregation on the east paddock, city fans in the home section, throwing all sorts they even smashed part of the roof and were throwing that and several pitch invasions, the worst crowd trouble at football i’ve seen and i’ve seen a bit. Five minutes from the end there was an announcment “all blackpool fans will be kept behind for 15 minutes”. They let the city fans out but after five minutes opened the gates, you can probably guess what happen next. Never heard of holding home fans back since, not a good idea i tell thee.
