Calculate how many points we”ll acquire before the end of the season. Being honest I got us to 42 points. But we would have to beat all our rivals at home from now, which probably won’t happen, so I’m a liar. Would that be enough to keep us up? Probably, have a go yourself. (If you can be Arsened)
I made it as 38 points which should just keep us up on recent years. Can see it going to the last two games and those being West Ham at home and Stoke away, i can foresee some nail chomping happening.
Would be nice to send West Ham and Stoke down although bet they are saying exactly the same thing about us.
That Stoke game could be Sheff Utd all over again. Think they will struggle this season along with us. For me, West Ham and Wolves will go down, then its a toss up between us and about four other teams, ala WBA, Stoke, B’pool and B’burn.
Think after our Man U game coming up, we have some winnable games going onto Christmas and New Year. Think we need to get as many points as possible then, after Christmas it gets tasty.
I still reckon Birmingham are one of the more likely candidates to go down. They’ve lost some of the team spirit that they had last year, and don’t have anyone creative.
For the next 6 fixtures I predict 3pts ! I really do hope I am wrong but being realistic I can see no more than 3 draws and 3 losses !
I got seven points from our next six games. We need to beat the likes of WBA, if we don’t beat them the games after are orrible. But we can get a point at West Ham away, and can beat Stoke at home, ala 7 points. These are all the proverbial six-pointers already.
If we can’t beat our rivals were in the sh1te anyway.

I’d class the following teams that Latics have played so far as “rivals” – Blackpool, Sunderland, Birmingham, Wolves, Newcastle, Bolton & Blackburn & our record from those games is L, D, D, W, D, D & L
So if I apply your comment then Latics are already in the sh1te.
The league table is also a good indicator!!

At the top of the thread I did say that if we can beat our rivals in the games we have to play from now, we should be alright, although we all know that football is unpredictable (understatement concerning us) and it never works like that.
