Yes it was a poor turn out. But Thursday night was always going to be dodgy

Didn’t even make it i was stuck travelling back from London on the M40 M42 and M6 seen the goals our goalie is shit but theirs is worse.
I wasnt at the game last night due to work. However i will very shamefully admit & hold my hands up to turning off the radio after they scored the 2nd. It was only when i received a text (even though i had missed my previous 2 texts) saying powell pen
3 – 2. I didnt even know we had pulled one back or even equalised until i received my last text. I put the radio back on to listen to the last few minutes.I’ve never left a Latics game early after the biggest faux pas of my life, yep Port Vale. Had to leave an England game early WC qualifier against Wales at Old Trafford. Was still living in Nuneaton and last train back from Manchester meant I missed the last 5 mins. British transport at its usual brilliance NOT.
After the second goal went in from Barnsley I have to concede I followed the little possee I sit with and decided the boozer was a far better place than witnessing any more pain.
Never in a million years did I think that would happen but sums up the season so far but pleased they did it but sort of gutted I missed it.
A good win and something to cheer about but still too little too lateNope, stayed till the very end JR.
Looked at the score board on 69 minutes & thought jesus there’s another 20minutes of this dross…. :woohoo:
I almost left, but decided to wait and see if he brought Powell on and what would happen then! Glad I made that choice
Couldn’t go as at Manchester Arena seeing ‘Mrs Brown’s boys’ (Xmas present from family so couldn’t say no). Wasn’t the only absentee as there was a bloke wearing a Latics top with ‘Gomez J’ on the back! Checked score regularly but gave up at 0-2. Didn’t believe txt I got on the train telling me that they had won 3-2 with Powell getting an 11 minute hat trick.
Personally I never leave early but equally I wouldn’t castigate (excellent word) anyone who does.
That’s their decision.
Just like away fans singing about how poor our crowds are. I’m here, I’m staying to the end, so sing “is there a fire drill” or “your support is ****ing ****” at me all you like. I’m not bothered. “This is a s***hole, I wanna go home”. Go. I never asked you to come.
Similarly for our fans if you want to go early, then go. If you aren’t coming for the last whatever number of games left, or are not renewing your season ticket, or you’re only picking your games, fine; it’s nothing to do with me.
