Not looking forward to the last match, it will be like that game at Sheffield United all over again. Fulham will be able to go straight up so they will play full team
Gonna be hard18 July 2020 at 5:43 pm #188015Brentford and WBA didn’t help us there on that score but us conceding a late goal and Luton scoring a late goal helped us even less.
Those two awful performances against Luton too could see us relegated and the Hatters safe but safe only because those idiots pulled the plug with three weeks to go and the ridiculous punishment for going into administration that didn’t give us an advantage. Surely we can win an appeal and the sides who just weren’t good enough over 46 games go down.18 July 2020 at 5:49 pm #188016I watched a fair bit of Fulham. Their fringe players would have beaten us today.
What a time to play as bad as last year.I think that’s it for us, baring a miracle the 12 pts has killed us. I just think the pressure and recent intense games caught up with us.
Oh and 1 of the worse refs I’ve seen in a while.
And,
WTF!!!! Is happening at Sheff Weds ?. Are they dragging it out so they get deducted next season???.But hats off to the players well done no matter which way it goes you gave it your all
18 July 2020 at 5:58 pm #188018Fuck me. Wouldn’t like to be in the trenches with some of you men. We play a Fulham side that are 50-1 to finish in top 2. Very quickly on Wednesday they could have little fo play for with Brentford and West Brom having relatively easy games. We have been on top form at home (scoring 8 last time out) and been really difficult to beat. Tough maybe but not impossible. Charlton won’t beat Leeds so in our hands for me.

I wouldn’t be so sure. Leeds’ season is now over. They are Champions and will be preparing for the Premier League. There’s no way they want to risk their star players having lumps kicked out of them by a Lee Bowyer-managed Charlton side who need to win at all costs.
It could come down to how WBA and Brentford are doing around 8:45pm on Wednesday. If one or both are winning easily at the 60 min point, I can see Scott Parker making 5 substitutions with both eyes on the playoff game against Forest.
18 July 2020 at 7:07 pm #188021Agree mutty.
Either BBC or Sky ran a virtual final day back in May which I laughed off at the time. Charlton won 3-0 at Leeds, who were already champions, to stay up at our expense.
Doesn’t seem so daft a suggestion now.
18 July 2020 at 7:26 pm #188022Everything that could go against us this weekend has gone against us. The team and manager have been fabulous since we resumed and if we fail we fail. It wont be through lack of commitment and effort. I’m so proud of my wonderful club and if its league one next season so be it. I would rather be a Wigan Athletic fan in league one than a fan of anybody else in the greed league. COYL

18 July 2020 at 7:59 pm #188025Well if your all so certain grab a load of 6-1 on Charlton.
18 July 2020 at 8:13 pm #18802617/4.
With any luck WBA or Brentford go 2 or 3 up early doors and Fulham switch off.
18 July 2020 at 8:56 pm #188028Odds on to go down now
18 July 2020 at 9:12 pm #188029Was 1-4 when all this started. Now 4-7. We are still 4th favourites with Sheff Wed 1-100. Odds mean nothing. We’ve been upsetting them for years. Believe. Within 20 mins Wednesday night Fulham could have nothing to play for.
18 July 2020 at 9:53 pm #188030Strangely what seems like a bad set of results may prove good ones if Sheffield get 12 points deduction. We may then only need a point at best

My concern isnt us beating Fulham, it’s the other two sides playing teams with nothing tao play for.
As for the Sheff Weds odds, it’s on a betting exchange that also has odds on Leeds to go down.
18 July 2020 at 11:34 pm #188035Can we beat Fulham ? Of course but not if we resort to old form like we did today, we were awful. If it weren’t for Marshall it could have been far worse.
The Leeds manager will not allow Leeds players to down tools for their last game, he will expect the usual work your sack off football plus the players will be trying to stick in the managers head for next season.
19 July 2020 at 1:06 am #188036“resort to old form”
What does that mean?
