Carson
Boyce. Ramis. Caldwell. Perch.McManaman. McArthur. McCarthy. Maloney.
Holt. Fortune.
This system worked for Paul Jewell I think this would be a good line up.
Just wondering what anyone else thinks?Caldwell isn’t my favourite but has good experience.
24 August 2013 at 5:46 pm #119764Perch is a right back mate.
How about this lot if you want a 4 4 2.
Al Habsi
Perch Boyce Barnett/Ramis Garcia
Maloney Mc 16 Mc 4 Beausejour
Holt Fortune
or how about
Al Habsi
Perch Boyce Barnett/Ramis Garcia
Mc 16 Gomez Mc 4 Beausejour
Maloney
Holt/Fortune.

24 August 2013 at 6:56 pm #119767We have general agreement on two forwards – Holt and Fortune. The only reserve seems to be Dicko, and other teams are showing an interest in him.
There’s plenty of choice in midfield – we’ve got twelve midfield players to choose from! And we’re looking at Powell too. Last season’s regulars seem favourite. McCarthy and McArthur are a good pair, and so are Maloney and Beausejour.
Defensive; Watson, McArthur
Attacking; Maloney, McCarthy, Gomez
Winger; Beausejour, McManaman, McClean
Plus Espinoza, McCann, Fyvie,RedmondWe haven’t got any choice in defence til the injured players recover. Then, at least, we’ll have some competition and cover.
Boyce, Perch, Barnett, Crainey plus Caldwell, Ramis, GarciaWe haven’t seen Garcia yet, and are going to learn more about Perch, Barnett and Crainey. We should be able to put together a decent back four, perhaps;
Boyce, Caldwell, Barnett, Garcia. We’ve got four goalkeepers too. Carson seems to have made a good start.
Carson, Pollitt, El Habsi, Nicholls24 August 2013 at 7:09 pm #119768Beausejour is awful. Why have a winger that cannot beat a man. Most of his crosses are awful. See how many times he can take a man on. Never!!!!!
Maloney on the left is far better and mcmanaman can play both side too.24 August 2013 at 7:59 pm #119773Jarvis (171), who was brought in from Wolves for this purpose in the summer, and Jean Beausejour (165) at Wigan, are way out in front in the open play crosses chart, which also features Leighton Baines, Antonio Valencia and Gareth Bale.
Beausejour finds a team-mate 21 per cent of the time, Baines 20 per cent and Valencia 21 per cent. But Bale is down on a paltry 12.5 per cent, which may explain why he shoots from range more often nowadays.
From the Daily Mail 4 April 2013
And West Ham paid £10 million for Jarvis!
Beausejour and Maloney together create chances for crosses from the left. Holt should eat them up.
