Just read his article on Wigan Today and says attendances are down
Let me explain my friend why before you use that to justify us giving the East Stand away:-
We as fans and players staff etc alike have been through hell and back not once but twice.
We have been punched to the ground, with 2 back to back administrations points deducted and relegation attendances will be down.
Were a Division down from were we should be having to make do with loans and freebies so like any other lower league fans drop off.
So how do attract fans back ? try to bring back special days like City at home.
Mr Goodburn wants to highlight us moaning about giving up my seat that is not the issue here.
It’s you deciding to fill a stand with Utd fans for £30 when they charged us £45. If it’s cash you want charge them £45 in the North Stand then family deals etc would make up the shortfall but of no, Utd guarantee the revenue lets cash in hey!Do deals for families kids etc for Wigan and fill it. Try to attract them back for a special night.
Goodburn you are wrong totally wrong you given Wigan seats away thinking we won’t fill them well now we’ll never know. There would be no seat issue IF the club didn’t give the stand away so to say that’s the issue is sadly incorrectGod help us if we ever get near the Prem we’ll be stuffed in the North/South Stands while the Goodburn greed train rolls into town probably kicking the supporters out the South Stand over to warm tins in the Profiles sports hall.
Sorry to say this was a one off opportunity to make it a unique special night and all’s the club has done is show their true colours of what to come.
I don’t even think the Hong Kong Lot and the Bahrain Binmen would even do what the clubs done

Have a large group of friends who had season tickets for yonks…..all decided to F### it off…….What a shame….countless hours ,money spent supporting (and loving it)……to now get a dream tie and feel completely shit on…..well done Woodburn and cronies!!!
Let’s hope this doesn’t go pear shaped trouble wise because, not only will there be 8000+ in the East Stand there’ll be a fair few in our end.
Goodburn is clueless, out of touch, no interaction nothing. Does he have to interact with the fans ? no but it would be nice for a change
It just shows you how out of touch they are. I know quite a few who don’t regular go to Latics but who would go that game and I’m not on my own.Anyway what’s done is done, make an atmosphere all right !!
