He is the way to a top six position unless he is left flapping around with no support. A proven goal scorer everywhere he has played and looking at him on the ground last Tuesday he looks in fine trim, which is a positive sign from an injured player. We could get into the January window out of him before someone snaps him up for a bargain where he will score for fun.
He was a proven goal scorer four years ago.
Since then he’s looked slow and lazy for us, Villa and Huddersfield.
Grigg is a proven goalscorer, so you should be pinning your hopes on him, not Holt.
Standish, or should I say Griff wanabee, why do you purposely oppose virtually everything anyone has to say.
You are becoming a tedious boring /Edited ADMIN/ like your mentor Mr Martinez.
Because it’s a forum, and forums are for debating on.If I don’t agree with what you say, I’ll tell you so, and tell you why. The idea is, you then come back with a counter-argument.
Alternatively, just ignore what I’ve written rather than getting offended that I don’t agree with you.

19 August 2015 at 2:41 pm #144216Proud to be Lancashire, I bet there are many Wiganers who still regard themselves as from Lancashire! As for Horc, I must admit I was quite shocked at his outburst,a side to him I have never seen! As for the water, there is fuck all wrong with it!
19 August 2015 at 4:04 pm #144221Don’t think there will be many Wigan folk who do not regard Wigan as Lancashire along with people from Barrow, Ulverston,Coniston, Widnes, Warrington, St Helens, Southport, Oldham, Rochdale, Bolton, Horwich, Todmorden, Salford, Standish, etc etc.
19 August 2015 at 4:20 pm #144222Lancashire CCC play at Old Trafford and Aigburth.
We were all Lancashire when I were a lad.

19 August 2015 at 7:05 pm #144231Scored 20 odd goals last season in a team that got forward in numbers and at pace ,not the snails pace we go forward at.Still no answers coming forward as to why none of the strikers we have signed in recent times can bag ? Then have their confidence ruined and moved on .

Ineffective midfield springs to mind over the last couple of years to have an goal scoring forward one has to provide the chances for the forward to score this as been the outcome for the last couple of seasons imo
Also turnover of players wouldn’t help I wonder if some stato could provide the turnover of players since the prem days to realise that a bit of stability would at least solve some of the problems that have arisen since relegation from the greed league.
19 August 2015 at 8:04 pm #144233A little bit of a consistent team before Christmas alone could have helped. That was in team selection alone.

Then have their confidence ruined and moved on .Kone didn’t do too badly – with 11.

Then have their confidence ruined and moved on .We’ve rarely had prolific strikers.
In the last 30 years who has scored more than 20 league goals a season?
Roberts/Ellington? Jones? All in promotion seasons.
I did a quick check and prior to this it was Bobby Campbell with 20 in 86/87.I would say that few teams would have a worse record in this regard.
19 August 2015 at 9:01 pm #144236Granted Kone did well and it was in the Prem as well but some of our signings have been disregarded within weeks of arrival. Are we assuming that everyone of them became a bad player overnight ? i don’t think so .If we don’t give Grigg a partner soon then he will follow the same route.Won’t take long before his finishing instinct wanes and supporters label him as a bad signing.

Replace the word “partner” with “service”
